First off, I bought this with a 50% off coupon so for me this was still a good deal. Remember those old scotts spreaders that you could dump a whole bag in and go? Not with this. I did that and the paddle wheel will hit the bin and sound like a little mini bike putting along until it gets down to 25% capacity. So if you only fill it that much then it's fine with no noise. Setting the drop about is different, but works well. You have to guess on amount since it's not like a scotts where you set it to 3 and your done. You have to eyeball it and get used to it. Lastly any tall people over 6 ft pass on this. You will have to either use it slightly tilted forward and you will feel hunched over using this. If I paid full price I would have returned it. I got it under thirty so I'm happy.

I had 3 different broadcast spreaders prior to buying the 80 lb. Vevor. The plastic shaft that drives the auger in the hopper broke on all of them. I was going to buy the 60 lb Vevor, but also saw it had a plastic shaft so had to move up to the 80 lb Vevor which has a metal shaft. I would recommend that 3 things be modified on this broadcast spreader: extend handle set by 4", and lower the foot rest by 1" so the hopper tilts back, so when you are pushing the spreader the foot rest is not periodically touching the ground. Lastly the feed lever action needs to be modified so there the cable and its door move together smoothly so you can vary the amt. of discharge.

This came in sooner than expected! The spreader is better than the last two that I bought from Walmart and cheaper. This has the real air tires, which is what you want for grass inclines hose mud. The plastic tires catch up on rough terrain, and will flip over and waste seed or feed. Cable and controller on this spreader is so much better than anything I’ve ever seen on any other spreader. This looks like the pool behind lawnmower spreaders that are about 200 bucks except for it. A hand push the cable for this heavy duty looks like a mountain bike , not that cheap wire on the feeders that you get from Walmart tractor supply etc. don’t waste your money on anything else !

This spreader is well made, rugged and allows you to fill with large bags without having to stop continuously to refill. The wheels are big and handles the load well. Putting it together is wasn't easy and the instructions were hard to follow as it's mostly diagrams and pictures, but the parts and pieces were all well packaged and easy to identify. I would definitely recommend if you have a large yard. I have nearly 2 acres and only refilled once.

So the parts are well made. Instructions are totally vague on how to assemble and not everything lined up. The hopper slide is slightly bent so it's a bit of a pain to adjust. It's to bad because it has potential of being real good spreader!

This is a nice spreader and one of the most budget-friendly models with inflatable rubber wheels. Assembly was not that hard, Took about an hour. The frame is solid and the bucket is a thick plastic material. I am 6’2’’ and have no issues with handle placement. There is a screw that locks the gear to one of the wheels which turns the distributor when rolled, the rate of distribution seems to be even and wide. I came from using Scotts spreader so this one is worth the time and money.

Purchased at 35 percent discount, but even at regular $69 price the unit has more value than Scott's as long as you are not dependent upon numbered settings. Current price at Largest Home Improvement store as of this writing Is $100, pleased

After Unboxing and putting it together I was happy with the quality and price the lever and setting is a bit flimsy but overall I feel good about my purchase rubber wheels make it roll with ease

This product arrived well packaged, on time and undamaged. It operated as advertised. There was some assembly but very easy to perform this task in a very short period of time
