I have been impressed with these thus far and do recommend. I already have tongs and I have made tongs. That's a basic skill. Since I was in a situation where I needed a few tongs just to get a project going I thought I'd give these a try. The steel seems good, the joints are tight, and the faces line up well straight from the box. Make sure to put the tongs in the fire and get them adjusted to the pieces you'll be using them on. Also, add some beeswax or copper anti-sieze to the joint while hot and work it in there. It will lessen the friction while also keeping them from sticking.
