anvil arrived quickly, crated up securely, and in perfect condition. Cleaned off shipping oil and dressed the edges to my liking and put it to use. Great rebound on the anvil, shelf is nice and hard, and after 4 months of use I can confidently say this anvil is worth much more than I paid for it.

Like the two burner forge and the stainless steel work bench, this is a good beginner anvil. Ideal for small work, however I can see that wanting to get a bigger one will be on the cards at some time. I have mine mounted on a stump and have it on a bed of silicon and bolted it down. There is a bit of casting marks, so you will need to get a grinder or sandpaper on the horn and it is all good to go!

Anvil looks great but did not come with the hammer as a gift .....?????

Yes! I am a woodworker that makes tables, chairs, wall art, et cetera and I use this anvil when making or restoring tools and need a flat surface. The size is perfect and easily moved. I don’t imagine needing to buy another but I will buy for my family and friends as gifts. You really don’t know how much you will use the anvil until you get it. Great price too.

I only needed the anvil to set copper rivets in a shield I was making because they wouldn't set on wood or concrete. I could have bought a cheaper cast iron anvil at HF for around $25, but I wanted to make sure I got a quality product for future projects. Vevor has good reviews on their larger cast steel anvils for starter blacksmiths (occasional voids filled with bondo), so I didn't hesitate when I found this smaller cast steel anvil. I won't use this for blacksmithing, but it'll be enough to help me make costumes for Rennfest. I was a little worried about how it was going to arrive because of the weight, but the packaging was sturdy enough that it didn't even poke through the box.

I order this anvil & my buddy next door needed me to help cut a tree down, So I put it on a tree stump and its 45 inches tall and puts it at my reading glasses range. lol... I'm just using this to hammer sheet metal and having a large flat is nice.. Well that's all folks. Sandman.

Ordered this anvil to add to my anvils. This anvil will do the job needed with very little work to relieve the edges. It's a good size anvil with a nice horn that has good taper. The hardy hole edges needs a little filing and its ready to receive your tools. Great price!
