This machine is pretty awesome. I am impressed with it so far. The only issue I have is the unit runs off of 220, and comes with a 110 convertor, so sometimes it overloads the convertor and it will shut down if I put too much load on it. I will be eventually wiring up a 220 plug and that should fix my problem.

Heavy duty, good quality, a few minor adjustments required on setting up, does exactly what it was built to do, remove metal quickly. At an entry level price for a knife grinder, can be modified easily to fit 2' x 72" belts.

So far it’s all good

I'm a blacksmith and knife maker. I was looking for another sander that wouldn't cost so much. When I saw this one, I took a chance. I'm so glad I did. This thing is my go to grinder in the shop. Everything came in two huge plywood boxes. Simple to set up, and almost no vibrations. It's got plenty of power to eat through carbon and stainless. My only regret is that I didn't get the variable speed control. It would have been way cheaper than buying a new motor(3 ph) and a VFD.

After figuring out how to make it work with 2x72 belts I have been grinding a lot for the last 2 months. Absolutely worth the money. The speed control is very smooth from 0 to 4400 rpm. Makes it easy to do fine grinding without overheating the knife tip. Still dunk the blade in water every few passes to cool.I added a bracket to the gas strut to allow it to compress further and the belts fit great. I made a bracket to lower the table down further on the platen. The original was way too short. I made a table extension for more room.I like that you can use the extension cable to move the control panel out of the vfd. I mounted mine in an outlet box and can set it by the grinder while keeping the transformer and vfd away from the grinding dust.Very happy with the purchase. Seems to be made to last. We'll see....

Works great, I've held off on doing this review now for a several months, just because I didn't want to give 5stars with out really putting it through the day to day grind. I've been using it for pretty much every day for 4 months now, and all has been good. I was hesitant to by a $1200 Chinese tool at first, but I'm glad I did. I'm a knife maker and the variable speed is a must for not burning up your tempered steel. If your a knife maker and are hesitant, bro don't be. It came about 10 days maybe 12 days after I ordered it.

Heavy duty, nicely built, runs quiet, belt tracks great. It came with some great accessories, from the large wheel to the other smaller wheels that work great for shaping knife handles.
