I built my own beveling gig and it worked fairly well but it had a few limitations, I figured I would try this one because the price was pretty good. I have used it on about 15 knives so far and this thing is freakin' great. With the degree gauge I can reproduce bevels every time. I will try to remember to update my review after it hits 100 blades. I would highly recommend this.

I made 2 changes. I added extra smaller tapped holes for my smaller knives and I moved the protractor and lock over one screw hole so I could use the center screw holes to support the spine of the knives.

Very nice fixture given the price. It performs well and is a good addition to my knife making capabilities.

How much do you spend on cool steel? Damascus? And then you leave something that is a baby step better than high school shop class. This tool is how you make knife bevels look near perfect the first time you use it. The angle measure feature on the back is cool too. Make a 7-9 degree bevel, and then sharpen the knife at 15, 17, 20, or whatever suits you. It will look sweet.

My first knife was quickly becoming a hand ground train wreck. This fixture allowed me to straighten out the grind lines easily and end up with very professional results.

I had to replace the pin screws in the pivot holes because they came loose mid grind BUT if you tighten all the screws this thing is awesome and the price has went up a lot sense my purchase but buy some extra hold down screws because you will grind them flat by accident no fault of the jig at all it’s amazing

Much better than just using a magnet to grind knives. Adjusting the angle is accurate and sturdy. I think it might be better than similar products after getting my hands on this one. A must have for knife grinding. I'm really happy with this purchase.
