This is a very good, basic hose reel. it was a little tricky to install - getting the actual unit secured to the bracket was a bit of a challenge. otherwise, all was great!

Seems like a solid unit for a decent price. Just be aware that the threads are NPT - you can kinda get away with attaching BSP fittings with enough teflon, but Bunnings sell NPT to BSP adaptors that make for a much nicer fit.

These are nice inexpensive hose reels. I bought two of them and installed them in a chemical plant and they are holding up very well.

I installed this hose reel in place of a Flexzilla reel that I had installed a few years ago. That reel would sometimes require repeated attempts to retract smoothly. During the install I realized that this Vevor reel was 22 lbs instead of 7.5 lbs, 3 time heavier so I strengthened the attachment to the garage track angle iron by adding another 5/16\" carriage bolt to the 2x4 I used for overhead mounting. I also used two Grade 5 3/8\" bolts to mount the reel bracket. This install is only a few days old so I gave this item a 4 star rating, in case of later early life failure, however it seems to be well made and beefy enough to do the job. Now that I have an open reel where I can see the workings of the retract mechanism I realize that my previous installation may have had retract issues because of a side-to-side bias causing the reel hose to jam a bit. I should be easier to see and fix this type of issue with Vevor's open reel design.

This air hose is the perfect garage accessory. The mounting was super easy, high-quality product very durable. We have used it several times and it is a perfect addition with it being mounted on the wall. It has saved a lot of space.
