It true... The ball mount will not slide into the 2.5\" receiver as built. It does require some \"fitting\". Mine was a 5 minute project with a 40 grit flapper disc on my angle grinder to put more radius on the corners. I'm pretty sure too, that the powder coating is just black paint. At any rate, I thought it was an OK deal for the price I paid.

I just used the hitch to haul a camper 500 miles round trip and barely knew it was there. Towed like a dream ✨️. I would buy it again if I need one for another vehicle and will recommend it to others. I did have an issue with it but Vevor took care of me and resolved the issue 100% no issues with getting the issue resolved in a timely manner. I will shop Vevor again. You have a life long customer with me!

Installed this on my 20 tundra and surprisingly ended up towing a 4 runner with uhaul carrier, did well

Our F350 is tall and needed an adjustable hitch. Very solid but it was a tight fit due to the thickness of the powder coat. Would definitely recommend!

I needed a drop hitch so I could tow level and got this one so I could ditch the 2 inch to 2.5 inch adapter I was using. Wanted both 2\" and 2 5/16\" since I have both of those - don't need the 1 7/8\" since that is so uncommon and I don't tow a lot of old boat trailers. Nice it comes with two trailer lock pins - one for the ball and one for the hitch itself. Keyed alike with 4 keys. Great fit and the foam silencers are a nice touch.

The hitch is solid, not hollow, and weighs about 30 pounds. All the welds look good and straight. I had the same issue as a previous reviewer: the fitment for the 2.5in receiver is not the greatest; I had to grind each side of the hitch and bevel all edges.
