Four Stars, but would have give Five if not for the following minor quirks. The unit requires two electric plug ins: one for the ultrasonic unit and heater, and then a second for the rotating motor which turns the vinyl lps. There is no turn off for the rotating motor, you need to either unplug it from the electrical outlet of unplug a connector piece on the cord itself. The ultrasonic vibrations are controlled by a front knob entitled "Timer". Yes, it works the timer, but more importantly it works the ultrasonic waves. Better to have labeled as "Ultrasonic" or "Start" or "On". The vinyl spinner motor just rests on the back of the tank. It fits nicely, but if not properly centered, the vinyl lps get stuck and do not spin. Lastly, you need to be very careful not to scratch your vinyls when putting them on the spindle, as the spindle has a threaded end which is sharp enough to do harm to the vinyl. Okay, that being said, it is a wonderful device at a very favorable price. I have used it on over 100 albums over the last 2 months with amazing results. Like others recommend, I too advise using some a small amount of 99% Isopropyl Alcohol with a couple of drops of Triton X-100 One last point, the customer service was helpful with a minor problem I had with the spindle, sending a replacement to me in a prompt manner.
