Pardon the long review; I was an engineer prior to farming and I love this sort of thing! The price seems right for this level of plucker. Following the directions - especially the scalding water temp of ~150 F / 70 Celsius, you will get pretty good results quickly. I would say a grade "B". For home consumption, it's perfect. For my business, it's good; above-mediocre but not excellent. I do a few hundred pastured, all-natural chickens per year, most weighing 4-7 LBS or 2-3 KG. It takes about 30-55 seconds to defeather. I think that's real good and a serious improvement to my drill-operated defeatherer. Time is money for me as a sole proprietorship and married with 4 kids. There is still a little easy hand work, but it's what I expected, just 2-4 minutes of hard-to-reach places (under wings, around legs, etc.). Be sure to spray the bird the *entire* time, despite this crucial component being missing from the instructions. (The instructions were clearly sent through a translator from Mandarin and unchecked by a native English speaker; you'll laugh a little LOL.) 2 little issues, that's all: (1) Expect heads to come off and some dislocations some of the time, no matter how short the time you have the machine on. This bugs me, because it reduces the marketability of birds, either whole or as cuts. I have to sometimes pop wings and legs back into place to avoid unsightly aesthetic issues of popped joints (who likes the way that looks?). Heads coming off at this point sometimes spews a little of the bird's last meal into the neck, which then requires thorough cleaning. (2) I have rust spots on the unit's housing after 1st use, no joke. This is some cheap-ass stainless steel, even though its gage feels pretty good. That was a little cheapskate value engineering, clearly ;-) Overall, a great value to my farm business at like 60% the price at the farm store. They are basically all Chinese anyways, unless you want to pay thousands, and probably have similar results, so go with Vevor. Ignore the claims that shipping takes long with them. It took like 3 business days. Impressive.

Great plucker.
I have not used the yardbird, so I don't know how it compares but we just used this for 30 birds straight this past weekend and it held up great. Look forward to using this again.

Plucking machine
The best quality and brand I will recommend anyone to purchase I did recommend a few of my business partners and they did order the blocking machine and they love it the qualities exceptional it’s amazing how it does work as much as anticipate. It’s an amazing machine.

This plucker is big enough, shiny enough, love that, Works beautifully, is easy to run, and is fairly easy to clean, except some feathers get underneath the hard rubber nipples inside, so two hands to bend one and the other to remove the caught feather. Would I buy this again? Yes, definitely. Using a tarp under it makes feather clean up fast and easy too.

Works great, but clogs easily
We processed 52 meat birds and this plucker really made the chore easier. A properly scalded chicked would be plucked clean with about 30 ish seconds. I'd give it 5 stars if the machine didn't jam up after 5 or 6 chickens. Popping the drum off and clearing the wet feathers under the disk was annoying, but at least we weren't hand plucking all the birds. Overall, I'm happy with the machine and would recommend it.

First time using a chicken plucker machine and it was awesome! Plucked feathers cleanly off the bird in about 20 seconds. Couple times a foot got stuck in the bottom-side. Also had the skin tear on a few birds and one with a broken wing joint. I'm happy to take that as a trade off for how much faster I was able to process my birds. Cut my processing time from about 30 minutes per bird to about 15 minutes (or less). I researched other models on eBay, Amazon, and other sites and decided on this one for it's price, features, and good reviews. It has very good power, easy to access on/off switch, and it's easy to roll around to wherever you need it. Clean up was pretty simple with the easy to remove top. Some feathers get stuck in the fingers, but it's like that with all models. The vast majority of feathers get quickly washed out of the tub and down the exhaust tube while spraying the bouncing chicken down. I put a slotted basket at the bottom and collected all the feathers for my compost bin.

Superb!
We did 28 chickens in less than 2 hours. 2 big corny cross birds fit perfectly.

It works
Used it on a small group of chickens. I had 5 in and it stopped running. I took a look at it and it had so many feathers filled up at the bottom it stopped the motor and that's with running water over them to get it out the bottom. But fixed the issue and haven't had any more problems with it.
