Being a jewelry shop technician I’ve worked with foredom flex shafts for years and this $70 pendant motor seems to be the exact same thing for 1/4 the price. 6mm handpiece is great and can use 1/4” rotary grinder tools, it’s doesn’t have quite enough torque to run them smoothly, but in a pinch it’s helpful. We’ll worth the price

Work's great but the power cords and flex shaft tube should be longer.the cord isn't long enough to reach the floor for the pedal, so I need to use an extension cord between the motor to the pedal. If not for that I would've given 5stars. As for the problems people are reporting just grease the ends of the flex cable and tap the pedal a few times and it will start slow with out jumping and is very controllable at low rpms

This unit, with a separate powerful motor and comfortable remote hand grip just makes more sense to me than the totally handheld design. Plenty of power just where you need it. I did grease the internal cable as others suggested (simple), and the cords are kind of just barely long enough to the foot pedal - about 6ft (as far as hanging the motor.) Many others said the foot pedal is all or nothing - not what I found at all, has perfectly adjustable sensitivity for speed (I wear sandals in the jungle, not heavy work boots lol.) Well made from a new (?) line, Vevor. Ordered a hoist from them, too and that also works great. Very pleased with these choices!

Very happy with this. Smooth control from the foot pedal and good low end torque. I did disassemble the shaft and grease it before use.

I recently purchaced one of these Foredom clone Rotary tools for general use and for porting chainsaw cylinders. It arrived as expected; in good working condition for a good price. No the build quality isn't as good as a real Foredom, But what do you expect for 1/10 of the price? (in my case). I've already found it saving me time and effort across a variety of projects where I would have had to use hand tools as an air powered die grider would have lacked the torque or control required; which this had. It is also works with the standard Fordom compatible handpieces avalible from a variety of sources. There are 2 things I would note from my order. 1) The Flex shaft wan't greased, so remember to do that before use. (it's basically an exact copy of a Foredom, so the parts aren't going to magically require less maintenance) 2) My unint included a (Foredom style) chuck key even though it is missing in the pictures on the webpage, so you might get lucky like I did, but as it isn't pictured or on the packing list I still wouldn't expect one.

It is easy to use and I like the variable speed control with the foot pedal. Much more powerful than my small hand held unit I have been using.

Perfectly functional flex shaft. Needed lubricant in the shaft before use, but that's easy enough.However, the only way there is 131 pieces in this package is if you count the individual parts of the motor and shaft.
