I haven’t tried it yet
I haven’t tried it yet but I always wished I had known a moonshiner and learned how to distill shine myself. I guess I’m thrilled to have a small still and that’s probably what prompted me to give it a 5 ⭐️ rating.

Produces alcohol
Easy assemblyPerforms greatDetailed instructions with recipesFLAWSSmall size required multiple distillation cycles for quality shineNot good for fruit mash (burns mash)low quality thermometer that shows increments of 50°F and hard to read due to condensation and small sizeBut for $100 I'm impressed

Beginner/ intermediate pot still
It will distill mash, wort, water, hydrosol, white fuel..not saying u should or shouldn't..it will take some twerking and modifications to work like intended. You should have a good gen grasp on how to distill..if you don't..you will complain about this..replace the hose for the worm cooler. You will that me..the water pump included is shut..buy a real transfer pump. The slobberbox aka thump keg is a lil too small but will work. Set up the worm cooler where it's not on top of the mash pot..the heat from the pot will make it too hot to condense. You will need a ice cooler or 15 gal plastic trash can full of ice water,to run thru the pump and cool the vaper off. Only add alcohol to the thumper if you don't wanna weaken your hooch..connect the bottom valve on worm cooler to the pump..the top valve is the return. The truck is to open the bottom valve just enough to keep coils under water but have the top valve open enough to allow it to drain fast enough as to not over flow onto your floor.. u can't walk away and leave it.. gotta babysit it. The mash pot works on most stoves if the vent hood isn't in the way. U can use on the turkey fryer if u keep it turned low enough. If you buy a cadco crs3t counter cooktop..it will heat that 13 gal pot well..make sure you find a stainless collender or bowl that will fit inside ..I added bolts to my collender to have about 1/4 in clearance from the bottom.. this keeps you from scorching your mash,wort,brewbag,grain...this will NOT work on induction cook stove cuz stainless isn't magnetic..if a magnet will stick..it will work.tighten all fightings well and be sure to run water and white vinegar thu it before you really use it. Lastly.. the hose clamps in this are junk and u will need to verify the temp gauges are accurate.. if there is a nut on the bottom of your temp gauge, than u can calibrate it by loosening it a bit and turn gauge but hang on to the probe.. tighten when u get it where u want. Sorry this is long..follow PHILBILLY moonsh

Minimal packaging
Still arrived, seems to have all the appropriate fittings and doo dads. Everything was in one, single walled cardboard box. All the small items were inside the still pot so no damage to them but the pot itself took some dings. Nothing broken but there are 1 or 2 I may have to try and hammer back out.

A Really well made cooker. At the price and haven't done your own spirits before (like me) but more of a hobby. Give this thing ago as it really works. I suggest you read the book provided and get some brewing advice from a home brew shop as i did. You don't have to use the recipes' in the book all you need is 4kg of (dextrose sugar), Still Spirits fast turbo pack from the brew shop add 20 litres off water into a 30ltr beer/wine plastic fermenter with a plastic tap at the bottom. And your off and running. Read The instructions on the turbo pack. Once fermented place into the boiler, set up properly as ( pictured) the boiler works really well. Get it its worth buying. NS

This thing ROCKS!!!
My son (age 25) is very interested in distillation and spirits in general, so I bought this as a Dad n Lad adventure kit. We had some (party leftover) bottles of hard cider that we were about to toss out, but decided to run them through the still on its maiden run. We couldn't have been happier with the results! The initial part of the run (at about 185 degrees) was clear, and the latter part (past 192 degrees) was a rich yellow. I needed to supply a longer coolant hose to reach the sink, but it was a simple Home Depot purchase (3/8" ID x 1/2" OD vinyl tubing) I warmed the still up slowly on our gas stove, and after about an hour, it began its "run". It took another hour to finish, and it was a really fun experience!

My friend loves it
Got this as a wedding present for a friend and he's been putting it to great work!No quality complaints or anything and some very good product has come out of it.

It worked fine on a Nuwave Precision Induction Top.
Although some reviewers stated that it does not work on induction tops.Although a magnet does not hold to this thick and solid stainless steel material but it worked and heated very well on my Nuwave Precision Induction Desktop. I am glad I do not need to purchase an induction heat converter plate.

Functional and useful
Wish the section that holds the plant material was bigger but I'm loving the hydrosols we've done so far. Its functional, useful and it's making me dream of owning a bigger still.
