I've borrowed my friend's cable before and they are always rough and heavy to carry because these generator cables are heavy and awkward to carry around. So after looking around we found this cable and the great thing is it comes with a carrying strap that you wrap your cable in. Super convenient!

I have been using this to run my welder all sumer. Quire flexible and handles the ampacity needed with no issues. I have been using it over concrete and it is resting abrasion well.

*Great* price. The cable does its job. Caveat for users who may need to use the locking ring…the one on my cable does not rotate freely; it’s rather stuck. For my use with a home transfer switch I had to work to push it all the way down so that it wouldn’t interfere with cable insertion and twisting. Regarding insertion, it would be helpful if the molded handle was marked in some way to aid in orienting the plug; I made my own (transfer switch plugs are on the underneath of a wall mounted box). Lastly, accurate shipment tracking information is apparently totally unavailable for Vevor shipments. All that said, for my use this is a 5-star value but the several dings require me to assign it 4 stars.

It worked perfect. Life saver during Hurricane Beryl. Strong cable. The plastic holder is not strong enough for its weight.

Overall cord is a great value and worked just fine. I would have preferred to spend an extra 20-percent on one with a heavier duty cable using 6/4 (4 wires at 6 AWG) instead of this hybrid 6/3+ 8/1 style but the only one I could find with 6/4 was more than twice the cost of this unit and the VEVOR also had a locking collar ring which I wanted as an extra precaution. I ran my generator for about five hours powering my entire home after 2024 Tropical Storm Debbie and the cord worked as expected. The male end for the generator has a nice flip up lever to help unplug it which is nice. The outlet end has the locking ring but the it is made from flimsy plastic and nearly impossible to screw onto the outlet without someone else holding the cord while you gently spin the locking ring onto the outlet. The ring on this one just has too much flex - not like the strong ones on a RV cord and because it has so much flex it is going to cross thread. That said, you can't beat the value of this product.

Super great cable.

I assembled this cable for my lady friend - so while I did not actually purchase it, I do have first hand experience with it. As a long time employee of an electric utility I am also familiar with such things. The cable is robust and very substantial. The individual stands of copper wire that comprise each power leg, the neutral and the ground conductor are all #6 gauge that are fine and soft stranded copper. I found this to be an excellent quality cable whose value is emphasized but its comparative price point. However, any cable of this size will require some strength to manage it, coil it and carry it around. It is a bit stiff but will measure up to the job electrically. One thing I found troubling was the product description: it stated the voltage rating was 50 volts. I was confident this was a typo and supported the purchase anyway. For those who care to note, upon unboxing, the cable jacket was stamped stating is rated at 600 volts - which I suspected would be the case … and it is. If I had to suggest any improvement it would be in the area of the external jacket to make the cable more supple. The internal conductors are very flexible but the external jacket is a bit too stiff.

Great thick cord. Fits the twist lock out let without any issues. I bought 2 so I could build my own power box with one of the cords.

I was very impressed with the excellent quality of this 30amp generator cord as well as the price! Others wanted almost twice the price! This cord is very heavy duty, made well, and does the job! After installing a generator power inlet box at my breaker panel, and adding a generator interlock kit for safety, this cord was the last piece of the puzzle. Everything worked as expected and I'll certainly buy another cord for my workshop generator connection from Vevor. Love the prices, can't beat them! Would definitely recommend!!
