got for my boyfriend for a fathers day gift, thought it was absolutely cute and the fact that it charges a battery was even better. (hes an electrical engineer who specializes in wind turbines) he loved it!

The set up is simple especially with the right pole.

This turbine has supplemented my solar enough to nearly eliminate the need for my backup generator to be run.... Without appliances or television. The initial charge controller never worked, however, customer service sent a replacement very quickly.

Was very well built just didn't read up enough on how much power it generated compared to solor panels

So far it is working superbly, blades aren't extremely well balanced so you will definitely want guide wires even if its not very high. Charge controller works but the red "working" indicator doesn't blink although when tested I have good voltage charge my bank. I will probably buy one more of these, we get lots of wind where I live in alaska. It only took roughly 5 hours to install including time to weld the flange it came with to a nipple. I was able to do it all by myself as well so not extremely difficult. I would recommend getting an extra pair of hands, it would of been much easier.

Controller did not work , the wind turbine works nice

I have it on a 10-ft pole strapped to my fence I can get about .0012 amp hours a month out of it so a little power. it's more like a decorative windmill

Came fast and in great condition. Not too heavy and easy to assemble. I like that it has a low wind speed starting and can generate up to 500 watts. I plan to use this for my kitchen hotplates and toatser oven backup. Color me impressed.
