The 6 inch diameter is great for 1/3 pound burgers that are the right size after cooking: large-enough diameter to fill the bun, but not overly thick in the middle.

I've had this a little over 10 months now and it's time to get more papers for it. I have the 5 inch model and normally press out a 6 or 8 oz patty, which takes about 20 minutes to do 2 10 lbs chubs from Costco, that includes weighing out a gob of 6/8 oz meatballs to press. Taking it apart to clean it is a pain but there are much worse things in life. Would strongly recommend this, just remember you are pressing ground beef and not axle bearings, putting your shoulder into it and grunting is not required. Use it right and it should last a good long time

This thing is awesome. I never thought I would spend $100 on a burger press and think it was a good deal. It makes the patty making so much easier. We get a half a beef every year and the locker charges an additional charge to make patties. I think this press will pay for it's self in about 5 years.

Easy to clean, easy to use. Only complaint is that "piston" is too small for the cylinder it fits into so when you press down hard to get your hamburger, hamburger squeezes out the gap and you can't get a dense enough patty. I fixed it by wrapping tape around the flat disk part (piston) to make it fit tighter and that worked. Overall a great product, well made, strong, durable, I'd buy again.

I am very pleased with the structure of the machine and it really works well takes less time to patty out burgers than way by hand wished I know that long time ago I do appreciate the product. It’s very good and very easy to clean.

Bought this to make Hamburgers for our outdoor parties. We use it about 8 times a year, and will make 50+ hamburgers. A lot quicker than by hand and a lot firmer for the grill.
