Works well with only minor issues.
My wife bought this because she needs distilled water for her cepap. There was a national shortage of distilled water for some reason and so she bought this to make her own.The few main issue I have with this is it's obviously straight from China with commensurate poorly written instructions. It is really difficult to try and follow the directions to properly clean and operate the unit. They instructions also don't really tell you where the carbon filters are used. I had to look at the pictures above to figure it out.The container of calcium citrate came with a compromised seal. That meant that the entire contents absorbed moisture and instead of being individual crystals is actually a rock hard chunk of product. The other issue I had with it is just a minor design issue. There is no handle it hold built in to the heater part. This makes it difficult to take the top off since you can't get a real good grip on the bottom. The top does have a handle which is helpful. As others have said it's a fan so it will make noise. But if you make distilled water at night in your kitchen it won't bother you in the bedroom. Ave the unit has an auto shutoff so no need to worry about leaving it go all night.Mostly it's a well built quality item so far and makes distilled water well. As an aside, the instructions say you can also use it to distill other liquids too.

Works well enough to recommend
I've been using it for a couple months. It works well. Pretty much just fill it and hit the button to get distilled water. I don't use it for any other fluids. Using vinegar to clean periodically helps with limescale. I fill it with1c vinegar and the rest with water and let it sit overnight. Lime comes off easy. The carbon filter was a trick to figure out since the directions illustrations are impossible to understand, lol. You just got to wiggle the nozzle and tilt it. I can't explain it very well, but eventually it comes loose and you can slip a carbon pod in. I soak mine and rinse it well before putting it in the distiller. The flavor is a bit burned if that makes any sense for water. Kind of like a heater smells. Might be the carbon. Might just be the fact that it boils the water into vapor. I don't know. It's tolerable by itself but I mostly use it for tea and coffee machines. No more limescale in my machines! I just wish they sold the bottle separately so I could buy multiple for storing.

Great for CPAP
I kept struggling to find distilled water at times during the pandemic. Then or local grocer (King Soopers) went on strike and pushed me over the edge. This has been a great addition and creates peace of mind. One suggestion, either make the odd sized jugs available for sale or make the unit capable of refilling a standard sized gallon jug.

Came on-time, works good so far
I Just got this and have used it twice. Works great so far no issues. I use it for my CPAP, Distilled water runs over a $1.00 per gallon, and sometimes hard to find. Now I don’t have to hall gallon jugs up stairs. Hope it keeps working! I don’t drink the water so I can’t answer that and have not cleaned it yet.

At a time when distilled water is hard to buy, this was the perect investment.

Works well (updated)
***UPDATE*** I absolutely love this distiller cause now i dont have to spend money on water for my cpap machine. It takes about 4hrs for 1 gal but it saves on money. Its also very easy to use. Also once I used it for the first time and cleaned it the smell went away.Ok I bought this item cause I can never find distilled water anymore. Well it's easy to assemble and everything but the smell is terrible and when I remove the lid it's almost as it burnt water is on the bottom or even white stains or some kind of residue I can't get off. I used it twice to test it and clean it before I actually use the water I make. Am I doing something wrong?? Is it supposed to have that smell?? I will change my rating if the smell ever goes away and what not

Nice little still
We have a park model in AZ with a small humidifier and very hard water. This still turns out a gallon of distilled water a day to keep the humidifier running at night. The only drawbacks are, one of the manuals supplied is in fractured English ( it calls citric acid 'detergent') and the unit is somewhat noisy, so I have it running on a table outside. Otherwise, works as advertised.

A great way to eliminate the plastic and have distilled water available when you need it.
We are unable to find distilled water consistently anymore. Being able to make our own has made life simpler. The machine is easy to use but quite large. I store it in the bathroom linen closet and pull it out to make a batch then put it away again.

Save yourself a trip to the store for something they may not have in stock when you get there
I love the idea of being able to make my own distilled water. I rinse my sinuses daily due t to a history of sinus infections and my daughter uses a humidifier at night so we always need some at our house. It seems to have become harder and harder to find it stocked in stores and this way we aren't dependant on anyone's supply.I found the directions lacking and even after careful readings I wound up talking to Amazon support (who were wonderful BTW) and watching some YouTube videos of similar models before I could get it assembled and start my first batch. I was very pleased with the results though and will definitely use it again. The lid to the dispenser isn't tight and makes it difficult to pour. I wish it screwed on instead of just sitting. I've got my water in a previously used plastic gallon water jug for now and have purchased a spout that I hope will fit it. Mostly my beef is with the lack of assembly directions and and inaccurate list of supposed contents. I would recommend but be ready to do some homework too get up to speed.
