nice tool, difficult to use with 0.016" thick 36" wide carbon steel sheets, but possible with some getting used to.
It looks great, it's easy to get the concept of, but it must be for really soft metals. Because I clamped down the pressing plate as tight as I could, the center of the pressing plate bowed up some, it takes more effort to align the sheet metal up to bend than what I'm used to. I honestly think that the gap between the Base of the brake and the moving part to bend the metal needs to have a wider gap so that all you have to do is line the marks on the sheet metal up with the slot in the brake and bend the metal. it might be great for thin aluminum, but it's not too good for what I needed it for. which 0.016" thick steel which is not even half of 7 gauge was knocking everything out of alignment and I also had to make sure the marks of where I wanted bent was perfectly aligned with the fold for the brake & I also had to make sure the marks on the sheet was perfectly aligned with the pressing plate. I'd need more time to get used to it, but so far it's not doing too well against what I need it for, but then again I am trying to bend metal that this clearly wasn't designed for, what I need it for is pushing everything out of alignment and not getting a clean bend, although it is capable of bending the metal that I need to bend, so it does have potential for my standards, for metals like aluminum It'd probably do excellent work and for getting a Hobbyist style of metal brake It's great the 2 c clamps coming with it makes it worth the price considering what you're getting, it could be simpler to use, but it would still work great for softer metals. With today's economy, that'd be a great price for something that you're not intending to use commercially or for harder metals, the fact that it comes with 2x C clamps I guess that's reasonable. and since it's got the pressing bar that needs to be clamped down, I guess it would be adjustable and it is made of steel and I am trying to bend some hard metal also. here's my opinion I say try it out yourselves, if you think it's great for what you need it for, then that's what matters. so long story short my opinion of it is neutral, for what I'm trying to bend, I needed 700 pound capacity clamps to hold that pressing plate in place to keep it from moving while I bent the metal, it also didn't take an unreasonable amount of effort either, can be operated with one hand, but then you'll need two in order to keep even amount of pressure, basically it's not a terrible amount of effort to bend what I need bent, but then again I try deadlifting a pick up truck for exercise, my effortless might not be the same as yours, my effortless might be your back breaking effort, so judge for yourself. I mostly got it because it was the size I needed, it was affordable, it's compact, it's a huge improvement over what I was originally trying to do as a metal brake, which was basically clamping it between two Steel bars and bending it with my bare hand, it was possible but it does a crappy job for as much effort as it took.

Packaging
The metal brake is well made but unfortunately the way it is packaged resulted in one of the lockdown bolts arriving bent. The box and styrofoam not sturdy enough to hold up to shipping. Was all broken up with box end open.
