I was impressed with how solidly this was built. Fit and finish were very good and the jaws move smoothly.This unit is a bit big and heavy for my small benchtop mill but fit OK with a little work. The bottom keys fit quite precisely in the vise base. I had to take off material to fit the slots in the mill table. The mounting bolts needed the same treatment and then worked fine. Note that these mods are because of the small mill - not any issues with the vise itself.

Turned out it’s too big for my mini mill with the rotary base. Should have gotten the 3”.Overall quality is very good.

I use this vise as well as the 3” and 6” models on my CNC mills. They are heavy sturdy and accurate. I am perplexed at how you can build such a good vise for so cheap. These things are rock solid.

The box was open when I received it. No apparent damage. I’m surprised the hardware was all their. Poor packing. I am very pleased with the product other than packing issues

I did a lot of research and looking around before I settled on this particular vise. I put a lot of credit into the reviews that others wrote about their experience with all the vises that I looked at, with this vise having the most favorable reviews. With that said I received exactly what I expected, It has great down force, a good finish and operates smoothly. I knew from others reviews that the corners would be sharp and needed to be stoned and there might be some casting voids. There were a couple underneath that were not a cause for concern. The other thing I expected and it makes no sense as to why the mfg of the vise would do this, is a raised pad where the indicator mark should be for the degrees of rotation. No mark and the pad is raised 1/8" of the surface of the degrees marks. even if the mark would have been there it would have basically been useless as the surface was to high to get a good read. This surface needs to be lowered and a indicator mark added. Other than that a great vise.

I don’t write reviews and in fact this will be my first. But I felt that when a product performs as well as this little vise does for the price it was worth passing it on.

I purchased two of the 3" vises for holding longer parts on my small mill; these were perfect since they're pretty lite, and the footprint on the 3" is minimal. I just finished flycutting my first parts and everything came out within 0.0015" and that's REALLY close when you consider the inaccuracies built into the mill.The coating on the base is a pretty flaky, and so far it has chipped when tightening the vises to the table; not a big deal, but nicer units have a ground surface in that spot. When I have more time I may mill it clean.I don't think I will use one of these as my primary work-holding when I'm not making long stuff, but they are an amazing value, especially when considering the Prime status.

Nice vise for the money, free shipping (mine came by FedEx).In the product description it say material is Stainless, not so. The base is cast iron and the rest is machined steel.No manual came with mine.

Better than expected. And, very fast delivery, even with its heavy weight.
