Was having my roof shingles replace so of course the old ones along with all the old nails and staples come down with it. The roofers did put out tarps but that does not get everything. I bought this device knowing this and after adjusting the wheels as far down as they could go (puts max space from the ground to the pick up surface), I ran it over the grass and you can clearly hear the nails hit the aluminum body. Easily picks up road hazards as long as they are ferrous metal of course. The drive way was easily cleared in just minutes and it saved me a trip to the tire center! Easy release of collected items!

I ordered this to pick up nails and metal bits when I work on projects. I also needed it to pick up steel case brass on my shooting range. I found it works very well in the shop and on concrete or paved areas. The magnet is fairly strong, and really attracts magnetic metals nicely. When using it on really short grass, it also does the job well, but if the grass is tall enough to brush the bottom of the magnetic bar, some items can be knocked loose, especially light weight items like steel shell casings, which don't have a lot of mass to be attracted by the magnet. I did find the magnet is strong enough to pick up items that were partially covered in sand, or hidden in gravel. Overall, I'm very happy with the tool.

All likes and no dislikes. This is incredible.it picks up in rocky gravel, even though you can’t see nails, it pulls through the gravel. The wheels are adjustable for higher elevation like rocks and gravel. Pull up center handle and releases metal and holds up to 50pounds

For a budget floor sweeper, it works very well. I don't think it could hold up to commercial use, but for the home owner it is tough to beat. I am a DYIer and use it to pick up steel bits from my machine shop and garage. Also works well find that stupid part you drop on the floor.
