Works well
Works well and easy to press, however the disk presser comes loose and needs to be tightened after every use.

Did a great job!
It did a great job for a smaller batch of grapes. It could be built a little sturdier. We added clamps to hold it to countertop.

The item itself is really well made- easy to clean, sturdy, well made. I had a bountiful apple harvest and envisioned a fun Saturday of making cider. It was not fun! It was trial and error and new error all day. The item needed to be mounted otherwise it spins as you try to press. Then the tub would spin as I got close to the end of the press. I figured I must be doing this all wrong or I am just a weakling. I did get 2 beautiful quarts of cider AND a huge appreciation for people who make it.

I am fermenting in small batches of 1.1 to 1.25 gallons of wine grape must. At time of pressing there is at least 2 quarts, enclosed in a straining bag that goes into the press. After pressing, there is about 1 quart or a little more of solids that are discarded. So if your fermentation batches are larger than mine, say 5 gallons, the pressing stage would need to be broken up into smaller (2 quart) parts. This could prove to be messy. Before buying this press make sure (at 1/2 gallon) it is large enough for your needs, otherwise buy a larger unit. Everything worked fine within the size constraints of this press. Its small, easy to maintain, and easy to store and easy to use for small jobs (see comments above.)

Great product overall for amazing price. Took 1 star off for quality because the base bent a little after the first use. Also took 1 star for features because the handle periodically falls out which gets annoying.
