Worked great for task I used it for. Make sure to oil after use and take care of sections with snake oil. Worked out well used it through roof vent for laundry drain . Wish it had a storage pouch for auger parts but a old nylon or canvas pouch works fine. Hope parts will be available if needed in the future. My advice is keep it cleaned and oil per/ instructions and store in a dry area. Thinking of installing a grease fitting as I have seen that on other type machines. Grease is better suited for gears. Worth the price all things considered. Section storage reel is nice, glad spare sections are available.

I’ve used this thing five times so far and it paid for itself after the second time it works perfectly for home use and very good for 3 inch drain lines, I’ve rented twice from Home Depot and then I found this and bought it. It’s 25 miles one way to Home Depot from my house so I would go there. Come back clear the drain and then have to go there and come back so this was a lifesaver and a money saver, and the attachments are perfect for different types of clogs. Overall satisfied.

Fairly straightforward, as another user reported.. caution against using reverse unnecessarily ( The cable coil direction ) some folks having issues reversing at wrong time.. I've got a lot more learning by using & experiencing different situations. One thing is the tail of cable, I'm going to use a piece of PVC 1-1/2" - 2" or a..3" or 4" x 10' section of thin wall sewer/drain to encase it so my cable doesn't pickup a buch of vegetation , leaves grass & all. Cost me under $200 & Here in Hutchinson KS sewer cleaning is $85 to $125 + . I got 5/8th" x 66' ?(I believe? 3 dia listed)Stated length & the 15' thin cable for sink drains, (That's the horn looking canister, containing it). Size is super manageable, doesn't take up much space! Would fit in a 5 gallon bucket? Be close. Switch is set-up is.. CW OFF CCW / Forward Off Reverse 2 very very small oil holes, just ad some motor oil as needed/ by usage , I'm going to rig something up to make this easier or maybe just an old oil can.. just Really Small holes!! I started off with a couple of 4's & couple of 5's Ratings & changed them all to 5's. For the price & simplicity & my success using it !... It's 5's across the board!

I purchased this unit hoping it would be useful for my lateral drain pipe that connects to the city service. The 5/8” line is not thick enough to clear any clogs without getting twisted up. This unit would be useful on any household drain lines, 1 1/2” drain pipes. I regretted my purchase as I drove to Home Depot to rent the drum machine with the 3/4” cable. Definitely disappointed in this unit, I would not recommend this to anyone trying to clear a lateral drain pipe. You get what you pay for, I should’ve expected this with the cost of the unit.

This is great machine if you own a home that have some drain issues. The actual snake that come with it is not the best but for $75 I go from them the professional one that is very strong and works really well. Highly recommend this. I have rented the big bulky machine from hire place and by the time you hire twice it's like purchasing this machine.

I bought this for my house because I get roots in my sewer lateral everywhere year. I have a 1" ridged at work I normally bring home bit it's big and heavy. this little guy is perfect for house hold issues and easy to move around. I've used it twice myself now with no issues and it took my 5 minutes to show my nabor how to use it.

very well built unit and similar to the overpriced name brand unit, good selection of attachments (though worth sourcing a retrieval attachment), the attachments are a little soft for heavy use but there are many after market attachments available. the snakes are solid. earns its keep the first time it is used. highly recommend for both home and commercial use. for heavier blockages it can be used to establish flow before jetting.

Unit works quite well and sorts a lot of pipe blockage problems. Its easy to put together and simple to operate

I've used this bad boy more than I would want but I am so glad we have the handy when we need it! I loaned it out to a buddy and had to rent one in the meantime due to a flooded basement emergency and the one I rented was larger and couldn't do HALF of what this trusty thing can do. I like it so much I bought another!
