A friend of mine had these for his tractor bucket for snow removal on his gravel driveway, they worked so well, I bought a set for my smaller tractor. The skidding surface seems stout enough for a larger skid steer, but the fastening device would be to light for that. I have a subcompact tractor and it is barely enough to hold them on to my bucket. A tool-less set up is handy, but impractical on this. A 3/8-16 bolt would be a huge increase in hmclamping strength. I only mention that because I have had to dig one shoe out of the snow pile twice so far. Now I am using some pliers to really crank them tight, but I fear if I go to far, it will simply bend the clamping area open instead of get really tight
