Wow this was a lot of work to use. I was hoping to cut the time and physical labor of spreading top soil over our lawn, but instead I found myself sorting pebbles and rocks out of the topsoil and mashing up larger bits of topsoil into tiny pieces. This would work well with potting soil, or a flawless compost with little sticks or debris. Otherwise, the debris blocks the smaller particles from exiting. Easy assembly, and fairly sturdy.

Used this for putting down 1/4\" of Black Kow composite. Worked great, easy to use, held up just fine.

Loaded up with Timberline compost and soil (yellow bag) but found too much mulch type material at the end. Found a mix of topsoil and black cow fertilizer worked really well. This will not level up low spots but spread a thin even layer.

Easy to assemble and use, works as intended, would recommend.

Got this for my new lawn and it saved hours of work. Good quality but I noticed it left strips of missing soils when rolled due to the metal bar and the metal piece on the cage door.

Great for spreading peat moss on lawn. It shipped very quickly and once it arrived I had peat moss spread over my back yard within a 1/2 hour. The latches seem good and it should be a reliable tool for a while.

Good product to roll out peat moss or compost. Hardest part is refilling the product after 20-30 feet when it’s empty. This item will only fill up about 2 cu ft of product per spread.

Used it to spread compost topsoil mix and grass seeds on my aerated and scarified (prepared) lawn. Saw a vid of an English chap professional landscaper using it that way. The results were phenomenal about a month later.
