Go easy on it. It's just a baby!
It's a mini lathe! Seems to work fine. Didn't come with any tooling. Drive motor needed to be properly positioned prior to starting. It was very crooked. Other than that a Chinese mini lathe is better than no lathe!

Great seller!
My lathe was dropped by UPS 4 times before delivery, breaking the plywood crate in 3 places and breaking the end off the cross slide screw. There is enough variation in the manufacture that I had to get a replacement from China. It arrived yesterday and works great. All gears are metal except the change gears which are nylon. This model doesn't have the dual spindle speed range, so simpler construction.

Got here quick, haven't had time to really test it out. It runs fine so far. Seems to be pretty well set up correct, not much slop as I expected.

know what you are buying
first, this is the C3 lathe basic design thats sold under many names and several small sizes, base 80mm flange spindle ... what differs mainly among them is the level they are prepped and finished off before sale .. for 5-600$ you will get raw machined parts slapped together as quickly as possible ..its an awesome bargain for the financially challenged, but hours and hours of fitting, polishing, adjusting, etc ... what they give you is designed in a way the average guy thats mechanically well seasoned can produce a very nice little machine with basic supplies and tools, and tons of elbow grease .. it will be a project if you want it right .. if that turns you off then get a 3k$ grizzly, same thing, they just did most of the work for you ..

It's not perfect, but the price-performance ratio is, all in all, favourable
I have read many negative reviews of this lathe. All in all I am quite satisfied. I'm not 100% because, as happened to many others, in the box I didn't find the MT2 dead center (never mind!) and the 72mm threading gear (this is more serious). I requested them from the seller, he replied that he "would have done everything possible", but several weeks have now passed and I don't think I will receive them. I also had to make a small modification to the sprocket bar to be able to thread. But all in all, the lathe works. I had never used a lathe before. First I turned a rusty iron rod, immediately arriving at a precision of a few tenths. I bought a rotating tailstock for 16.50E and, as a test, I threaded a 1 inch, 1.5m long water pipe to 2.50mm at the end towards the tailstock, using the 2 lunettes to keep it in axis. and I found no difficulty. I hope to be able to find or make the 72mm gear myself. However, all in all, I believe that the performance-price ratio of the lathe is favourable.

Decent machine - price point is irresistable. Wish it had the 1/2 speed gear reducer. Plenty of power. If you ever owned an old Craftsman/Atlas lathe, you will be right at home. 100mm 4 jaw chuck and other accessories are well made. Mill attachment needs expert file fit, but is of good quality. Faceplate comes from "LittleMachineShop.com", and is apparently a Vevor oversight. When it wears out, a very long time from now, I will get a bigger one.

Seller was responisve
The lathe came a little banged up but the seller took care and refunded me for replacement parts. Overall you get what you pay for on a $500 lathe. Add a good steel QRTP and you will be pretty happy. I will note however that the motor speed is load driven meaning it slows down as you engage a cut and then speed up to try to not stall. this is not ideal on a lathe and I wish I got the version with a Low/High gear selector.

mini lathe operation
Set up lathe and had a minor issue [ two loose screws ] and support were right onto it, I have used unit a bit now and find it fantastic so don't be afraid to purchase from Vevor

Its a mini lathe
What can i say? It does as it should. But a few things of note;1, theres no reference of zero on the cross slide swing. Maybe im missing a mark, idk.2: the slides were VERY loose out of the crate. Be sure to tighten them down3: quick change tool post is worth every penny4: the chuck guard broke immediately after first use. Nothing hit it, it just went "nope" and fell off.Overall, great little lathe, handles just about anything you throw at it (within reason, no titanium or chrome moly), and turns pretty good work.
