Decent Light Duty Vise
This is an amazing vise for the price. (that even rhymes.) I don't think I'd call this a heavy duty vise though. This is made like light duty vises, with exposed threads and just a single cast brace. I use it for holding metals like tubing or flat steel while cutting. I don't think I'd hammer or really twist harshly on this. It is well made for the price though. It is smooth tightening and loosening, and mounts sturdy. I used bolts through my workbench with a 5/8'' plywood top. I also used a fender washer on the bottom with a lock washer. seems to hold securely.

Great home vise
This vise is solid. I grabs wood nicely and offers a third, or fourth, hand for planing, cutting, or whatever you need. The swivel head is useful, allowing you to rotate the vise to fit the angle you need to work.In my package I got the vise, and the mounting screws. I saw on another review that they received vise pads with their vise; I did not. It is easy enough to purchase 4 1/2" vise pads on Amazon, which I will do later, so it is not a big deal. This is a handy vise, that is strong, and well made..

Well, I already own a 50 year old Columbian 5" vice that has been used and abused but still in good working condition. Needing a second vice in the new metal shed and one with all of these features for $100. was a no brainer. I have had occasional good luck with Vevor products and this was a crapshoot. Much to my surprise, it is a goody. Precise, (well, within a millimeter or two), hefty, spins 360 in all directions and solid ductile iron. Packaging is a joke, but it's a vice for chrissakes.... I would recommend this if you spend any time in your shop. Probably need to spend more $$ if you're abusing it daily, but even then, I think it might hold up for a few years. HF is junk, so this is the next level up and closer to legit. Gud luk. (4.5 stars)

Easy to use
This vice was easy to install on my workshop table. The vice is really well made and heavy duty. I really like that it is attached to a swivel base and I can adapt it for various projects. The jaws are removable and can be replaced for specific needs. Overall this is a great investment.

It's a bench vise.
I've been coveting a large bench vise for decades, so I was excited when this came up as an item to review. The bench out in the garage already has holes drilled by the previous owners, but the sons of guns took their vise!I wanted to do a typical photo shoot setup for my review pic, but the thing comes covered in machine oil, which is great for shipping in wet weather and storing indefinitely, but for my picture I was too lazy to take it out and clean it up.It's a substantial hunk of metal that appears to have been made into a nice vise that I look forward to using soon. Vises are universally expensive, and this one is well within what I'd expect to spend on a vise this size.

Good beginnner vice at a great price!
I was surprised that the quality of this one was better than the Northern tool vice I had brought ( and broke) previously. The machining was excellent and the iron itself has proved to be very strong. Overall im very happy with it!

My, Am Me Vise
Very Solid first impression, I just wish they could have avoided a minor annoyance (we'll get to that)Vise is robust and larger than I expected. Will it hold up under hard use, over the test of time? I have no way of knowing that at this point, and I will not torture test the vise and destroy it for good of the community, so if you're looking for that, go to Ytube where there are plenty of vids of that sort to satisfy the most destructive of wants. It comes with magnetic soft jaws, which work as intended and are easy to remove and replace. The jaws themselves are held in with bolts and are also replaceable. The tightening mechanism works smoothly and without grit, as does the pivot mechanism. It's not a 300-dollar vise, but it does well, and will undoubtedly satisfy most DIY'ers needs. Extreme-Duty vises will generally need extreme dollars. My only complaint is the length of the mounting bolts. Once inserted through the vise, only 1.25" of threads stick through. Most countertops (at least the ones around here) are 1.25", so mounting the vise to a standard thickness countertop is not happening with the included bolts. A minor annoyance, but an annoyance nonetheless. All in all, first inspection shows a solid offering. For what it is, what it does, and what it costs: Five StarsI am the Totally Unbiased Reviewer Dude (T.U.R.D.) and that is how I see it.

This is a serious Vice with an anvil and magnetic jaw pads for light to medium use!
It comes with a mounting diagram for precise installation and the necessary hardware (nuts/bolts). The Vice comes oiled. It's heavy duty! I saw this and it reminded me of my Dad's Vice on his workbench but this is about 2x the size of that one and it swivels 360 degrees! It you have a workbench or are building one out this is a must have item! It's impressive. It has 2 locks (one on each side) to hold it in place. The jaw pads will be useful and I wish I'd had this in the past. The anvil part of the vice is a generous size. This is an excellent find! I highly recommend this product for the non-professional that needs something solid on your workbench or mobile workbench. I wouldn't use it to crush something. It's for holding in place and doing something else so your hands can be free! This is not a heavy duty vice and I wouldn't use it as such but it's a excellent value for the price for what I need.
