It was easy to assemble and easy to use. it did a good job with little mess to clean up afterward.

I received this product yesterday and used it today, about two hours ago. I don't write Amazon product reviews often, but this one is very good. In about 90 minutes including set up and clean up, I cleaned my double wall 30 foot (10 m) chimney liner. It worked so well, that not much additional sooted creosote was coming down as I worked it back down the chimney to disassemble the rods. On the way up, about two lunch bags of soot and creosote built up in my wood stove. The rods are sturdy, yet flexible, and easy to handle. The system comes with gloves, eye protector, a chuck for drill attachment, and a tool to push the spring-loaded balls to disassemble the rods (not really needed if you hae a moderately strong hand). The stiff nylon 'tines' were barely worn after its use. I am very pleased with this product and I saved money compared to one appointment with a chimney sweep. This product will work best with a circular flue liner or double walled pipe, maybe not as effectively with a rectangular flue.

For years I've watched my mom and step-dad clean their chimney. It was a big ordeal. Disassemble the chimney, he would climb on the roof and she would hold a garbage bag under the pipe to catch the soot. It would take most of the morning. I was expecting that I too would have to go through that when I started burning wood. But with this item I don't have to do any of that. I attach it to my drill and can clean it all from inside my home. Soot falls into stove, goes into the ash pan and then I can fire up my stove again. Takes me about 10 minutes and I'm done. I'm extremely happy with this product.
