That's a White Protective Film, Dad!
Initially I was upset that this product was painted white and not as shown. My 11 year-old son showed me that was a white protective film that peels off revealing a pleasing brushed stainless finish. My family then proceeded to serve me up a much-deserved 3 Stooges -style smackdown. I am just-now putting my eyeballs back into my head in order to write this review.
