I purchased this to clean take-off parts while servicing my Audi. Instead of scrubbing and soaking parts in solutions like I've done in the past, I used a degreaser and biodegradable rust solution (separately) and the parts came out like new! I'm saving money for the larger capacity unit!The directions were simple (although some bad grammar and misspelled words--umm grammarly?) but overall the machine is user-friendly.

It has outlived the one I bought from Harbor Freight that only worked for the first 180 seconds before it died. This one works well, but you have to have a lot of fluid in it for safe operation. And it is loud as others have stated, so put it in another room if it bothers you.

Excellent piece of equipment, works very well. Used to clean carburettor parts prior to assembly, worked a treat, dislodged all contaminants from the parts. The heating and ultrasound functions were very easy to use and cleaning the unit after use was a breeze.

I sent it to a friend so he can use it to clean up my carburetor and transmission parts as he builds it he and his coworker loves it and will most likely be buying 2 one for each of them just beware of who ships it I wasn’t there when it got delivered and had a dent near the drain if still works just sucks to have a dent

Happy with all the features and given the price I expected the less powerfull ultrasonics. ITs my first unit so giving it a try. I used it to clean Gold Nuggets. I put a 16g gold nugget in a jar Jar with 1% Hydrofluoric Acid (Alibrite) & capped it. ....read msds nasty stuff to humans. The jar was immersed into the basket & water within the ultrasonic cleaner. (Used the basket to stop the noise on the base of the jar in contact with tub. Quite happy with the cleaning result. Next I tried getting some stuck on gunk off a cupronickel coin using the small clam shell basket and water with a little dish washing detergent. Did for a full 30 min but it only slightly cleaned coin and did not remove the gunk. Water was at 45 deg C too. Maybe someone can recommend a cleaning solution for this and other general jobs like jewelery. I am sure there are special cleaning solutions out there but what to use. Can I make my own. ??? No info regarding cleaning solutions and no drain on tank...have to tip unit up to empty, hence my 4/5.

This is for shop use. It's a bit loud, as you should expect. It's for shop use.Did I mention it's for shop use?I've used it about 5 times so far and it's great. Cleaned two carbs, needles, various bits and Bob's, out in the garage... Because, well... It's for shop use. It's does everything well. The water gets pretty hot, and controlling temp is not precise, as you should imagine, considering how these things work. The reason being, running ultrasonic waves through liquid heats the liquid. So does the element that create the waves. So, heating element or not, there will be some heating simply as a byproduct of ultrasonic cleaning. The heating element in this just allows you to make your cleaning solution even hotter, which can be useful.So far, as I said, it's been great. Appropriate amount of "noise", gets things very clean, easy to fill and easy to clean out. Nice steel used, I like the lid and basket. Timers work perfectly.All around great, as long as it keeps working.
