Tool is well worth the money just be aware you might have to do some upgrades on the round handle. I took mine apart to clean it and grease it. While I was at it I installed new hardware. I wish Vevor made a nice stand for it I had to get one from Dayton toolx.

overall this is quite good quality and amazing value. There is certainly room for some improvement in the device, and most home workshop people will make those mods over time. The mods are; a) bicycle handlebar grip on the actuating lever, b) improve the ram adjustment by either putting brass/nylon tips to the adjustment bolts, or inserting brass packing shims to reduce gaps, and provide a non-galling contact, c) bush out the ratchet pawl so it aligns with the ratchet gear, and centers on the gear. None of the mods described are needed for immediate use, but they do make the tool much nicer to use, and extend the tool life considerably. Ram tooling mount hole is a simple 12mm ID hole with a pinch bolt.

Good
Press came in a crate that was pretty beat up but intact with no damage to press. This thing is heavy but l used my tractor loader to set on my bench. The paint job is pretty good and overall quality is good, I'll probably tare it apart and clean and lube everything. No drifts are included but owning a mill and lathe I can make them as needed for broaching and bearings.

Good value for a durable tool
The 3 ton arbor press is a solid piece of equipment that is value priced. It arrives in a crate which helps to ensure the integrity of the unit. It’s heavy, durable, and performs its job function without complaining. It should work fine out of the crate with a little cleanup/lubrication. The only real issue I had was the hole for the drifts was a slightly undersized and needed reaming out for the drifts I had. Otherwise it’s a pretty standard piece of equipment. Robert Cowan has a good video on YouTube about the arbor press and how to do some upgrades. Note that a bicycle handlebar grip will fit over the bar perfectly and give you a comfortable grip area for operation. Note that the UPS guy, or gal, will probably hate you when it’s loaded in the wrong part of the van and they have to drag it out the front door! It’s not a light piece of equipment and you will need help getting onto a stand or table top. Make sure it is bolted down!

Much Bigger Than expected
This is much bigger than I expected it to be, but that isn't a bad thing. It is very versatile in my shop.

Delivery was quick, Well packaged in a wooden crate on a pallet. The Casting is good however I ended up cleaning up some sharp edges in several places and pulled the unit completely to pieces, added some shim washers to minimize play then reassembled with some lubricant on the bearing surfaces. I added a knob to the end of the handle and also added 2 x Grub screws to stop the handle falling out of its receptacle. Finally, I gave it a new coat of paint when I has finished my modifications and now, I'm very happy with it.

Good value
This is my first arbor press so I have nothing to compare against. The box was quite beat up when delivered but only the pivot pin for the press plate was damaged. An easy fix. The ram adjusting bolts ride directly on the ram, works but I made a cast iron gib for the front adjustment and made brass bolts for the side adjustments. I put two set screws to hold the handle in place & made a brass knob to replace the plastic one. None of this "had to be done" but it's what an old man does to make things nicer to use. My primary use is it to push keyway broaches. The ram came drilled for attachments and has a bolt to hold them in place, nice. The handwheel is a very rough casting and requires filing to clean it up. Well worth it's price for my uses.

Mr
3 Ton Ratcheting Arbor Press: Well made, Castings have a few dags here and there but perfectly acceptable. Daisy wheel machined flat as is the base. The casting needs to be drilled and tapped for a grub screw to keep the handle from falling out. The only grievance I have was it was advertised as free freight but cost $155 and even then I went to the freight yard to collect it. They didn't even need to deliver to my residence. Freight was excessive but other than that they are well worth the ask.

Very happy!!
Very happy about spending a little extra money on this one. I have a couple from harbor freight but they don’t compare to this one!
