Pretty amazing what you get here for fifty bucks! I used this to separate ball joints that had been in place for 45 years on my Triumph TR7 project. The extreme force I had to apply with a half inch breaker bar did not break or damage the tool. Money well spent and very happy to have this set in my tool box.
I purchased this tool to replace my ball joints on my 2005 F-250. It did a great job removing my uppers and lowers.
It was not able to install the lowers and i had to use a hydraulic press. It installed the upper joints flawlessly.
It is also handy to press the brake calipers in for reassembly. I think it will work great on cars and light trucks.
I purchased this to replace the lower ball joints on a 1969 Camaro. None of the receiver sleeves were the correct size so I made my own, otherwise it did the job.
If you are mechanically inclined, this set of tools can save you around $1,200 (the cost of having ball joints replaced. It takes a little time on your part, but is does save you money. Well worth the investment.
Seems to be well-built. For a part-time hobbies mechanic now. Retired mechanic after 35 years This looks like good enough to last me the rest of my life
