Works on 27” tire
My Autel Mx tpms sensor failed so I needed to swap it out. I have 18” alloy wheels and 27” tires so I wasn’t sure how this was going to go. I put on the non marring attachment and tried it out. I saw some reviews use a mallet so I had one handy and it did help. After you take out the valve stem to let out the air you wedge this thing under the lip of the wheel. First attempt I didn’t get it deep enough and then took it back off. The trick is to press it down with your weight and then move it under the lip. I have a couple light taps and it sat under the lip by about 1/8”. Hold it in place and then hand tighten the front nut. Once it gets tight use an adjustable wrench and tighten it some more. Then start on the other nut to plunger it down. I held it in position just in case as I plunged it down. Once I got lower than the sensor I replaced the sensor (press in style so it comes off rather easy). Undid everything, put a ratchet strap around the tire to assist reseating the bead and then blew it up. I did scratch the inside wall a bit on the first try, but second was minimal scratching inside the lip. Tire spoons were useful to help get the bead around the sensor. After I had it all filled up I checked for leaks and found a small leak (10 yr old winter tire so they have a couple small tears around the bead.) I decided to deflate the tire and check it out. Second time was much faster and I cleared out some gunk that caused the leak. Overall a good tool. It is way easier than using the harbor freight manual tire exchanger I used last time. The bar on that kept slipping. This was much more secure.

Works good, but only on the sizes described
Thought I could get this to work on my car with 285/35/19 tires to no avail. However all was not lost. I broke the bead with the Original Bead Breaker tool, however, that tool could not compress the tire far enough for me to replace my TPMS sensors. That’s where this tool shined. It had much more travel to compress the tire enough that I could easily remove the sensor. Happy in the end although I did need 2 separate tools.

I used this to break the beads on my 16.9 x 30" tractor tires. It made that part of the job a breeze. I can highly recommend it.

Need to know how to properly use this tool
I have learned with old truck and tractor tires to set the tool and get it to move some then move it along the bead your attempting to take off and slowly move around the rim. The key is to not be in a hurry and take a little and move so you don't put undue pressure on one spot of the tire and rim. I have not had any of the issues that others have stated with this tool. It is a great valuable in allowing me to work on my tire needs on my property as we are 100 miles round trip to the nearest tire store.

Requires a balancing act, but otherwise a great tool! Found the device to be vital for removing of tires from rim. Took about 1 hour of trial and learning of the tool. Afterwards, it got much easier.

worked great for me!
Used it to break beads on 16.9 x30's and 11.2 x24's that had been mounted since probably the mid 90's. Used a large crescent wrench so I could feel if I was too much pressure on the bolt. Worked great and saved tons of time and work the old way. Would highly recommend.
