I ordered this chuck thinking it would fit my VEVOR 7 x 14 mini lathe. It did not as it is not compatible with the lathe. I had some discussion with the supplier who offered me money to keep it. I tried making an adaptor but gave up on that. At no stage was a refund offered. I eventually accepted $30 to keep it. I think VEVOR should make it clear as to what accessories fit which lathes. Apart from that issue the lathe is of acceptable quality considering the price, but not as good as an old British lathe I once had which originally sold for around 30 pounds. A lathe has limited use without a 4 jaw chuck.

Seems well made and easy to dial in. Had to deburr the edges of the jaws just a bit to get them to slide smoothly, but no big deal. Happy with the value of this.

The chuck seems pretty well built. There isn't a lot of slop in the jaws and they run in and out smoothly. I'm sure it'll be even better when I've had a chance to clean the packing grease off of it. I have to make a backplate for it before I can mount it on my lathe but it looks like a perfect size for my 9x20 lathe. The machining looks good and there are no obvious defects. For the price, it looks to be a good deal so far.

Surprisingly good quality chuck. Solid and well made. I machined a cast iron backplate for it and installed it on my 9 x 20 lathe. (I think it is the perfect size for this lathe; imho a six inch chuck would be too big.) The jaws seemed a bit sticky at first but this was solved by a thorough cleaning. The only negative was the number of sharp edges on the jaws and chuck face, but again this was easily fixed. I chucked up a back gear housing and adjusted center to within 0.0005, (the limit of my DTI), so it works well for me. I would buy it again.

This is a Great chuck for the 7x mini lathe. Need to have an adapter plate to use it.This chuck is well built and quality seen good.It is an independent chuck and not a self centering chuck and requires a little chucking skill.Over all it a A+.

This chuck is as good as the Hare and Forbes one sold at 3 times the price. Highly recommended from a 30 year home machinist
