Pros: Study, excellent quality. Installation was straight-forward following Schwinn video on YouTube. Although you may find an extra pair of hands helpful. Love riding it now that is fully assembled!

Many of the negative comments you may read are posted by people who are not bicycle mechanics and have little/no experience putting together a bicycle. If you think putting a bicycle together might be challenging for you then you probably want to steer clear of an un-assembled Schwinn Meridian. Even knowing what I'm doing it took about 2.5-3 hours to get the trike assembled and that is only the basic assembly. It took 2-3 days of riding and fiddling with things to get everything adjusted properly.

I bought this bike for work commute, cut the travel time from 45-60 minutes to 20-30 minutes I have had 2 issues so far, I had a bad crash and the rear-left wheel frame bent. The other issue was one of the chain links breaking in 2. Both times I called the customer service phone number and they supplied the new parts quite quickly after a few questions. Now the instruction manual is in need of a rewrite. I have 2 parents in "putting things together" occupations, and they both has some difficulty understanding the manual. If you are not in an occupation that you put things together, I would ask a bike shop near you for help.

I have to agree with other posters that if you get this bike and you've never put a bike together before than take it to someone to assemble. That 45-1hr time estimate for assembly? Yeah, not for the novice bike assembler. I really didn't know anything about bikes before this, this was actually my first bike ever. I made the mistake of being impatient and I went ahead and ordered the bike through amazon thinking it wouldn't be hard to assemble myself. It was more like a total of 7 hours spread out over 3 days because I got my bike on a weeknight and had school. My fiance and I almost killed each other multiple times. I cried every day.

The trike is fine but I never received the tools that were to come with it. I tried costumer service and did not get anywhere with them. I guess what I’m saying good quality product, but need to in prove on costumer service .

Bought this for my wife for Mother’s Day, she loves it. Easy to assemble but plan ahead as it takes about an hour.

Great trike for the price. Assembly instructions were easy to follow. I do have some experience at bike maintenance, and a good set of tools, but I think that a person with some mechanical skills could do this with the tools supplied (and you might need a little help with the brake and derailleur setup). Two of the bolts needed to attach the frame and rear axle were missing, and Vevor support could not understand that the parts were missing - they kept sending me photos of how to assemble it - which is why I didn't give it an overall 5 star rating. I'm 82 years old and have balance problems, which is why I got the trike. It is not as easy to ride as a bike, but balance is not a problem.

I got the bike for my husband for our anniversary. He enjoys fishing so I got them this to carry his equipment in. He loves it

My daughter was waiting for this tricycle eagerly. She was very disappointed when I was not able to assemble it due to many missing parts. The box arrived with wholes. The essential parts to join the real wheel to axle and the frame were all missing. The plates to join the basket were short in quantity. I did not check other missing parts as I was not even able to start the assemble. Very disappointed by the missing parts. If I do not get the missing parts quickly, I will have to return the tricycle.
