Came packaged good and no missing parts. User manual very vague. Plates drilled on only one side but instructions stated plates are drilled on both sides. That is disappointing. Otherwise good for a small affordable dividing head, overall a rough but acceptable device. Save all your ordering information because if you have a problem, you are ignored if you are missing even one paper. Sad.

Stiff, came damaged. I have yet to check run-out, but I disassembled it, deburred it and reassembled it. It was full of burrs and some loose metal shavings on bearing surfaces. I cleaned then re-applied grease. I did not disassemble the chuck yet. The jaws themselves were not deburred, nor the slots. There was a massive burr all around causing the jaws to bind a bit. Upon removing the jaws, turning the mechanism for tightening the jaws was like a bag of rice, just crunching and grinding. I imagine it will have some poor machining. I will see what the concentricity/run out is in the future. The are sending me a replacement part for the damage, but if its not running true when I check, its just going in the trash. Picture below shows broken check ball for oiling the jaws; probably when there is metal in there.

I have sued it on two projects that I could not have done with out it. It amperes this will be one of my most used Machine tools.

This product looks great, but the tolerance in the worm gear are so sloppy it could never be used as a dividing head.

I bought this indexing device to mill an octagon rifle barrel and it worked excellent for that purpose. I think it will come in handy for a lot of mill projects in the future. Thanks

As a Tradesman Fitter and Turner I found this to be good quality and great value, everything was as it should be , other more expensive brands would probably last longer if used in thousands of different jobs , however this item will last for most tradesmen and hobby machinist on hundreds of jobs

I bought this fully expecting to have to "tune it", but it's fine right out of the box. Well packed, and coated in oil to prevent rust in transit and storage. The instructions are available off the internet if the enclosed manual is a bit sparse. The box contained all the accessories shown in the images (including chuck jaws, screws, etc) and all appear to be taiwanese quality (that's quite good if you don't know) I wouldn't be surprised to find this made in the vertex factory based on fit and quality. I will still strip it down and clean it before serious use, but first impressions on unwrapping and checking is great.
