We used it when canning beets, 40 lbs it cut thorough them perfect uniform, cut 10 lbs of onions almost no tears in about 10 minutes, we use it for canning and love it. spendy but worth it.
I been using these slicers past 4 years only problem is blades break or bend But for ideal resturant use they are best and convenient. We cook indian food requires lot of onions dicing for curries it great
"Use some Blue" Loctite or Permatex on the threads and allow to dry for a period of time.If necessary you can still use tools to disassemble. It simply snugs up the thread between the nut and bolt keeping moisture Etc out. Typically to minimize corrosion as well as potential loosening of nuts and bolts."Do Not use Red" Loctite or Permatex.It's not permanent but it's very difficult to get undone.
