Well made. Requires some work to it.
Produxt is well made. It is very quickly assembled. It requires you to go through the whole lathe to make sure it is adjusted properly and all nuts and bolts are tight

It is up and running good. I have ordered parts for it to make it do what I want. I ordered this lathe because of the bed was 14" long. Thankyou for the way everything went.

Bigger and more powerful than I thought it would be.
With a few hours of cleaning, and some minor upgrades, I now have a very accurate professional machine. The stickers are a little crooked and It came covered in oil, but that is a good thing. That way it couldn't rust. The one in the picture looks like it has some loose parts that need tightened. I took a chance and for once I came out on top.

Mostly fine
The tailstock was loose and banging around in the crate when the shipping container arrived. It appeared to not have been installed tightly enough and came unbolted from the ways. The loose heavy tailstock did some damage to the sheet metal tray, and the sheet metal rear chip guard, bent them up quite a bit.The advertisement claims that the lathe has the ability to cut both metric and Imperial threads. This is not true given the gears that ship with the lathe. The lead screw is metric and has a thread pitch of 1.5mm. The lathe will cut a full range of metric thread sizes. In order to be able to cut Imperial thread sizes additional gears need to be acquired.Needed gears: 55 tooth, 57 tooth, 65 tooth.LittleMachineshop.com has a full metal gear set that includes these for about $150.Plastic versions of these gears can be purchased individually on ebay. Cost each which includes shipping is around $20 each. These lathes have been a nightmare for a lot of people, however the trueness of this particular lathe is acceptable. I agree with the recommendation by many to tear the lathe down and build it back up checking for tension on fasteners, and proper alignments as well as lubrication while putting it back together. They appear to be quickly assembled at the factory, and the tolerances need to be verified.

Good value for money, good features
Product as described, works fine, upgraded to steel quick change post. Good enough to learn and upgrade slowly. I like that this was cheaper than HF. But longer.

Go easy on it. It's just a baby!
It's a mini lathe! Seems to work fine. Didn't come with any tooling. Drive motor needed to be properly positioned prior to starting. It was very crooked. Other than that a Chinese mini lathe is better than no lathe!

Great seller!
My lathe was dropped by UPS 4 times before delivery, breaking the plywood crate in 3 places and breaking the end off the cross slide screw. There is enough variation in the manufacture that I had to get a replacement from China. It arrived yesterday and works great. All gears are metal except the change gears which are nylon. This model doesn't have the dual spindle speed range, so simpler construction.

7 X 14 mini lathe
Got here quick, haven't had time to really test it out. It runs fine so far. Seems to be pretty well set up correct, not much slop as I expected.

know what you are buying
first, this is the C3 lathe basic design thats sold under many names and several small sizes, base 80mm flange spindle ... what differs mainly among them is the level they are prepped and finished off before sale .. for 5-600$ you will get raw machined parts slapped together as quickly as possible ..its an awesome bargain for the financially challenged, but hours and hours of fitting, polishing, adjusting, etc ... what they give you is designed in a way the average guy thats mechanically well seasoned can produce a very nice little machine with basic supplies and tools, and tons of elbow grease .. it will be a project if you want it right .. if that turns you off then get a 3k$ grizzly, same thing, they just did most of the work for you ..
