I am very happy with my distiller. I have had it over a year with no problems. To make it easier to pour into spare plastic gallon bottles, I drilled a 1/4" hole at the top of the handle. Now, it doesn't gurgle and spit when I pour. Works great!

I distill water and also use filters - both brita and zero water. This distiller has already paid for itself vs the cost of filtering the same amount of water. So now it's all savings. Even if it breaks tomorrow it's a good deal - but it will probably last quite awhile. The $350 distillers that this thing is copying are probably better, but for 5X the money you need to use them forever to break even. I can't tell a difference between what this machine does and the expensive models, and I've had two of the pricey ones.Update: it broke after six months. Still a good value in my opinion. Except creating unnecessary garbage. That's a downside.

My water is polluted....this takes all bad stuff out

The distiller is tough and works asa described. I knew city water wan't great, but lookin at the residue, I am grateful there are machines such as this. Teddy

I had to really think about paying this much money for a water distiller. But bottom line- it is great! I no longer waste those plastic bottles. I turn the distiller on before I go to bed and just refill my CPAP machine and humidifiers the next morning. Like the commercial, "It's neat, easy and convenient" and I do not have to lug those heavy bottles from the store to my upstairs! That has real value to me.

The instructions don't tell you where to put the "tea bags" of charcoal? so I didn't use them in the first uses. Very poor instructions. Never had a distiller before so the last time I put it in the spout that goes to the discharge cap.

I purchased this distiller for my self about a hear ago and the discussing the merits of distilled water for cooking and drinking decided to order one for my son as well. I have made over 300 gallons in the past year and my son is making a gallon a day to support his needs. Machine works just great and have set it up on a timer to get the lowest electricity cost. Water tastes great and believe that it will work for a long time. If you make 300 gallons a year, that is a $ 300 savings over buying distilled water in the store. Electricity probably costs about $ .25 per gallon.Frieda C
