I can't say much more than other reviewers have. I bought this because I couldn't find distilled water anywhere to use in my CPAP. I did a test run (with charcoal filter) and the water smelled awful, but by the second run, the smell had disappeared. It's a nifty little device, eirks great, and I may use it for coffee, since our hard water clogs the coffee machine and I'm forever running vinegar through it. Dont run it dry unless you want to spend time cleaning it. I put a couple cups of water in it, threw some of the citrus stuff in, let it run (with the top part off) for 20 minutes and it was clean. Super easy...just make sure you set an alarm when you run it, or you might forget about it. One other thing...The manual says to press the "start" button. There isn't one. The "start" button is the on/off switch by where the cord plugs into the machine. I kept pressing the "reset" button, after turning on the on/off switch, thinking I needed to do that to start the distillation process. Also, my device was a different brand than shown. It's a Vevor, but I couldn't care less as long as it works. Will update in 6 months if I remember.
