I got four of these because they were on sale. Really cheap, an emergency item to keep in storage if and when needed. I figured it would just be ok, expected noisy, flimsy slow to heat etc.Ok this thing is top of the line, just without a metal and or colorful exterior. No readouts (to eventually go bad), and whatever else it may be missing. These distillers are all pretty much the same in function.First off, it is heavy, solid extremely well made. Nothing rattled, nothing even close to flimsy. The top fit super snuggly - great silicone seal. The inside is all stainless steel, the inside lid the same. The fan blades are metal.It has an on and off switch, which operates not only the heating base, but the fan too. The fan lid once on, has a plug that goes into the base of the unit to provide power. Great design to keep it completely removable, and all the electronics away from the water process. The fan is as quiet as it can be. It has an indicator lite to show that it is on, the power switch is in the back where the cord plugs in. And there is another button - a reset button I believe.AND, it heats up so fast within ten seconds, you cannot touch the inside of it with your hand.LOVE the plastic carafe, which stores PERFECTLY inside the unit for storage. The other have glass, and people report they break, and they do not sell replacements I saw on many of the Q&A's. Metal spouts made rock solid.Came with Cleaning Powder to remove residue, a few charcoal filter packets, including one already in place on the lid dispenser.All four work perfectly fine, packaged insanely well.I hate everything I buy. There is always something about it, or it breaks. But wow, I got really really lucky with this one. Don't waste your money buying a more expensive model.I am absolutely shocked this thing is so perfect. I totally recommend it.

We have two CPAP machines and a steam cleaner that require distilled water - which is rarely, if ever, available in our local markets - thus the decision was made to distill our own. The Mophorn Pure Water Distiller provides what we need. The only negative remark I have is that the instructions for use which were sent with the unit are barely adequate. I had to use YouTube to research methods to put this thing together. Having done that, I find that this distiller works quite well and I am pleased with this purchase.

It had become a battle to find distilled water in any of the local stores. I found this and ordered it after reading reviews. It works great with no issues. We did listen to some of the reviews about setting a timer. We set a timer for 3.5 hours and have had no issues with cleaning. We use distilled water for cpap and the floor steamer. No complaints about this product!

Product will deliver at least 1.6gal every 3 hours, no sweat. Very good device and well made for the price.

It works so well, albeit a little loud, with the fan running. Use hot tap water to speed up the process and walk away. In a couple of hours, you'll be good to go again. My humidifier can run seamlessly through the dry winter with this baby in my house. Easy to clean with vinegar and a plastic dish brush to remove the calcium deposits from the chamber. Get this NOW!

I recently have had to use a CPAP machine and bought this exclusively to use for the water for the humidifier. It takes about 3 1/2 hours to run but it is well worth it.

I noticed the exact same unit comes several times rebranded under different names with negligable price variances.. The who, what and why answers those little details.The unit is quite good, takes about 30 minutes for a gallon of water to get hot enough for the machine to start its distilling process. All in all it takes 4 to 4 1/2 hours to distill a gallon of water. It’s reasonably quiet, the only noise being the fan which for the most part can be considered nicely quiet. A side benefit is that the heat given off by the fan makes, for winter, a decent auxillary 750 watt heater. I live full time in an RV so it’s an unexpected welcomed feature, at least for about 4 hours. Yes, it would be close to 6 gallons a day if used continuously however, living alone, (water, coffee, hot chocolate, cooking, etc) a gallon a day works out great for me. I would add the construction and insulation is very good.Haven’t gotten to the cleaning stage yet, I buy the cheapest bottled water there is which interestingly enough is 84 cents for a gallon of distilled water. I do not trust ANY kind or brand of bottled water and this includes bottled distilled water. All lab tests of all kinds and brands of water fail miserably. After a week or ten days at a gallon/day the unit shows no sign of any kind of accumulated dirt or crud buildup nor can I feel any slimey buildup on the sidewall. They did include a small jar of citrus cleaner.The unit came with three charcoal filter bags plus one installed in the unit. Hunting around on Amazon I found where a charcoal bag seller recommended replacing every six months. I have been swapping out bags after each gallon, laying out the just used wet bag to allow it to dry. The cost of @ $20 for 24 bags with a life expectancy of at least every year for 24 bags at one gallon per day seems more than reasonable.Now to the really bad issue. It is a known fact that a humidifier that uses hard water can cause problems with the filters in your furnace by clogging them up with minerals from the humidifier. Even though we have a water softner for our well water we decided to take an additional step by distilling the water for use in the humidifier. It takes approximatley 4 hours to distill a little over 1 gallon which fills the humidifier. Even though this unit turns itself off when all the water is distlled we only run it 3.5 hours to insure that there is a little water remaing in the tank which prevents any minerals from being baked onto the tank.

I don't have to buy distilled water anymore for my CPAP machine.
