4 hours to distill 1 gallon of water.The one I replaced took 8 hours....

Gives you a gallon of water I think in decent time but the fan makes a lot of noise, it was a very noisy unit.

We had been purchasing distilled water in plastic gallon jugs. Then we bought this and thankfully, our buying distilled water days are now over. This is everything it needs to be. Fill it up, close the lid and go to work. When we come home.. voila’! We have a gallon, or thereabouts of distilled water. Tastes great, it is as pure as the stuff we were paying a buck a bottle and the best part; we didn’t have up lug it home. You could pay more if you really wanted to, I suppose. But this does an outstanding job for a nominal (by comparison) price! Yes, the collection receptical is plastic. But so were the bottles we were buying. We live on a well. You should see the sediment that it extracts. A quick rinse with a tablespoon of white vinegar and water and we are ready for the next 4 liters!

I use this product almost daily. I distill the tap water and then squeeze some lemon into the water for minerals. I also sometimes add a vitamin fizzy packet too. I even distilled the water from one of the pay filter machines inside a grocery store and it was full of awful slimy stuff. Glad I found out because I was paying for dirty water that I thought was clean.

We purchased this to mainly make water for humidifiers and coffee makers. It works beautifully. We’ve had it for a few weeks and use it every other day. It does heat up the house a bit and is a bit loud (volume of a normal room fan) but not deal breakers by any means.

I love this water distiller. I was skeptical at first, but it has keep up. I run it when I'm on the last jug of water. And I run it continuously until all the jugs are full again it normally takes me a few days. I would definatly recommend this product I also clean it after all the jugs are full and rinse it out in between cycles. It gets alot of floride/chemicals built up on the bottom. Yuck!!

Excellent product, worked well and easy to use. Does leave a little taste so you will have to run it through a brita or similar product.

I have hard water and each time I distill there's a layer of hardened salts that accumulates at the bottom. However, just put some tap water and detergent into it after distillation and wait overnight - the salts will then loosen and come right up.This appears to be a single-distillation machine (as opposed to fractional/multiple distillation), so it's not like it's going to get the water to purity levels needed for medical or scientific applications. Also, it has a carbon filter that filters AFTER it's been distilled and before it's dispensed, which gives you an indication that the water isn't completely pure. But for drinking water it's more than adequate.

I used to spend $3-4 on a gallon of distilled water in the store. Since I have this machine it's so easy to make distilled water. I use it for my humidifier. Our water is very mineral heavy and leaves a white film on every surface, if I don't use distilled water. This machine make about a gallon of distilled water in about 3 hours and you can set and forget it. It turns itself off when it's done. I love it!

I purchased this distiller to provide water for my salt water aquarium. Life flourishes by the Mophorn Pure Water Distiller's water. On average I distill 1.1 gallons a day to replenish evaporated water for my reef tank. City water has too many additives/chemicals to sustain aquatic life as well irrigation water contains too many contaminants runoffs/bacterial blooms etc. In my application the price of making 1 gallon of distilled water costs .20 cents a day (energy or power consumption factored) by way of this Mophorn product compared to grocery store bought distilled water at $1.20 a gallon. After four months of everyday use the Mophorn Distiller has not only paid for itself but saves daily. I hope the Mophorn distiller reliably produces distilled water beyond four months - looking good so far!
