This is a simple, sleek design. Pour in a gallon of tap water, push a button. 3 hours later, you have a gallon of pure distilled water. And in the bottom of the still, you'll see all the gunk you won't be drinking. Just rinse it out. Ready to go again. Nothing really to go wrong, so these little stills run a lot of gallons. I've had a few over the last 30 years, running a gallon a day, and they really do the job.

Takes about 4 days, no evenings, to get about 12,000 ml. A batch takes about 3.5 hours. For a final cleaning, I put aboutan inch if Acidic Acid in the bottom. Them place in storage, I found that 500ml bottles are great for storage. Don't use charcoal to improve taste as the water isn't intended for drinking.

We use this for all of the water we use for coffee and cooking. We prefer drinking spring water as drinking water, since distilled water has no minerals, but for coffee and cooking, it's great! No worries about chemicals and impurities.This unit replaced an older one, which costs twice as much as this one. This is a super value!

Easy to use, just set it and go. My only gripe is the water tastes a little different, maybe because I am use to drinking filtered bottle water. The taste isn’t a deterrent for me especially if infusions are added. Money well spent.

This works great! It's so simple to set up and use! I dont drink it as it's for my plants, so I dont know how it tastes, but for my purposes, its perfect! It is much larger than what I expected, so it does take up alot of counter space, but I use it so much, its worth it!RL

I was buying distilled water for my plants and humidifier. The store is now limiting to 2 gallons per purchase which meant I had to go back every day and recruit my husband to get water as well then lug it all home. My sister worked in a dental office and told me they use a distiller and that there are inexpensive ones for home use. I have made about 12 gallons so far. I haven't had any to drink but it comes with several charcoal filters for taste. I try to turn it off just before it runs dry so there isn't as much stuck to the bottom. The crystals they give you work great. When I'm done for the day i sprinkle some in the hot water (I leave about 1/2 to 1 inch of the hot water) and it soaks completely clean. My sister has this exact model and she uses vinegar to clean after cystals ran out.

I never realized how much junk is in our city water.I have to clean it after 2 or 3 uses. It gets to be smelly inside from the junk.
