This unit is actually AWESOME! First 2 uses had a little scale on the base but none since then. I use mine for distilling alcohol and it is well suited to this - I want to buy the temp controlled one to compare but I have to say I am pleasantly surprised with this unit. For those distilling - 1hr 20 minutes is the time for 55-65% ALC/vol - make sure to have some copper in :-)

Works a treat as an air still along with a voltage controller. Delivery was fast & exactly as described. Been using it on a regular basis for over a year now. sometimes I even use it to distill water

Wanted to reduce plastic pollution. Works fine and is cheaper than bottled water.

I use it to produce distilled water for a CPAP machine. I've only used it once so far and I didn't have any problems. The only minor thing is that it's a bit noisy. Also the instructions could be a bit better (larger font). My eye sight isn't as good as it once was.

I ordered this item as it was cheaper than (continually buying) bottles of distilled water, which I use often in my workshop. The quality of the product was good and I was impressed by how much water it distils, in just a few hours. I recommend this product.

very easy to use

This product is easy to use, clean and produces distilled water easily. It does take a while to process a gallon of water. However, I will easily pay for the price of this device in less than 2 months in the cost of purchasing distilled water from a store.

Best appliance in the house. Husband on Cpac machine, plus we are off grid and depend on solar with battery backup, so filling batteries once a month. We will save lots of $$ now.

It was easy to set up and ran just fine. It does put out a bit of warm air, but did distill the water quicker than I thought it would.

The name on the Distiller that arrived was NOT Mophorn, but VIVOR. I have had this Distiller now for 44 days and it is working well. I have made approx. 25 gals of good tasting, quality water so far. With no mechanical issues at all. The secondary filter fits into the spout that disassembles and the fan is nice and quiet unlike complaints of loud fans by other users of the Mophorn labeled distiller. The MFR must have improved on the fan's quietness. I will update this review after I have broken even or saving money on water I formerly bought in the store. IMPORTANT! I use a timer set for 3 hours to both protect machine from overheating and makes it easier to clean after each gallon is distilled. The little extra water left behind is really insignificant and protects machine from having to raise the temperature in order to trigger the auto shutoff feature and also making sure the residue left behind doesn't bake into the metal this makes it harder to clean and could decrease the life of the machine.
