The title says it. This works and it is reasonably quiet. Now some observations: 1. Water is lukewarm in the collection jug. 2. Water will only drip slowly from the delivery spout (don't expect a fast flow). 3. At least with my unit, the jug (with the SS cap on top) would not fit under the spout. I had to raise the main unit a bit (a couple of mm). 4. The main stainless steel liner has a max fill line, is attached to the base, and is not removable. 5. The plastic used for the exterior is staticky, hair gets attracted to it. 6. With the main tank filled with cold tap water, it took over 20 minutes to start producing (be patient). 7. Super easy to operate. If the red light is on, the unit is heating the water. 8. The operating instruction pamphlet is poorly designed, but does have cleaning info. 9. The exterior of the base gets warm after a few hours, but the top is cool (as expected). 10. The top has a fan that exhausts heat. It will warm up a room. How could it be better: 1. Make the main tank removable, to aid in filling and cleaning. 2. Texture the exterior plastic to reduce static cling. 3. Reduce the height of the SS cap, to allow the main distilling unit and the collection bottle to be on the same surface. I was buying gallons of distilled water, for my plants. This is a much better solution. I recommend this product. While this unit will turn off when all the water in the main tank has evaporated, you will need to clean that tank far less if you stop distilling before the water is completely gone and dump out what remains. Be sure to rinse the tank before refilling it. There might be a sand-like material in there.
