It takes a few hours to distill 1 gallon. It's much easier to clean if you have soft water because the mineral deposits really stick to the metal.

We love our distiller. I only wish it was bigger so that I could distill more than 4 liters. But overall it’s wonderful.

So for years, I have bought bottle water for the house. I have a sensitive stomach so I would have to boil water otherwise, based on where I live. But now that I have theis I don't have to purchase weekly bottle water case!

Purchased this along with a timer so it shuts off before cooking the sediment dry.. no bad flavors or smells using it this way. It works well, I use it daily.

I've been using water distillers for 40 years now. This one is good and has all the required features. However, after use the interior bottom seems burned. I've never had this happen with any other distiller. I'm hoping this will go away. Otherwise, it is just fine.

For what this thing is designed for it is perfect. Distills water easily, doesnt take up a lot of room and it stores easily. You can hear it but it doesnt make a lot of noise. Now if you are looking for something to distill hard cider into brandy, keep looking. Amazon sells a wide variety of those real cheap. This kind of distiller is too inefficient for that kind of distilling and you can try but what you will get will be such low quality that its not worth it. For me I was always out of water for my cpac machine and the faucet water didnt taste good at all. Buying water is a massive pain to me and then having all those extra empty water bottle to get rid of is just another hassle in my opinion. This distiller eliminates all of that. With this distiller, fill it with water, turn it on and make sure it is dripping into the container then go watch a tv show or do something else while the distiller does it thing.
