For 3/16" crimps, tool needs to be pretty heavy duty which this is. I was impressed how well it worked although it does require some effort which is expected. Also cuts the wire rope very cleanly.

It swages five sizes of oval-type crimp sleeves easily because of the leverage of the long handles. There was a little problem, but the responsive staff at Vevor took care of it right away, and I am pleased with the results.

A new wire core halyard for my flagpole is $110. For only a few dollars more I purchased the hardware and this tool to make two 50' halyards. My only complaint keeping it from a 5 star review is that one of the handles should have a flat spot to push against the ground or floor because with a tool this big, like a large bolt cutter, you're not going to chest press both handles together unless you're 6'4+ and built like the Rock.

So far so good! This tool seems very strong. I have used it a small amount so far, but I'm just learning how to use it so if I was going to break it easily, it would have happened by now.It's a little bulky to get used to, especially since I'm using one hand to hold the crimp and the other hand(s) to hold the tool. If I use it on a carpeted floor, it's much easier.The wire cutter portion works well.I haven't figured out how to store it, however. It arrived with the arms together, but I haven't figured out how to get it back to that state yet... Hopefully that is a possibility?

Good quality, easy to use if you can use both hands

I bought this for double duty as a wire cutter and swager and it's great. Decent price and it crimps like a champ. My ferrules are tight on the 1/8" steel wire and the force required to get them on is pretty low because of the strong lever action. Very impressed with this tool.

Seemed a little expensive but after seeing it and testing it, I'm pleased. Have only tested it on 1/16 aluminum stops and ferrules over stainless wire, but it performs beautifully and far nicer than using a hammer crimper. Feels like it would last forever as long as that cast head is as well made as it appears.

Handles are plenty long, but annoyingly tapered which makes them hard to clamp in a woodworking vise. Crimps fine. You'll need a large vise or second set of hands to free up a hand to position ferrules at start-of-crimp.
