This is my 2nd still. I had to replace a columnar still given to me as a gift 10 years ago after breaking some of the fittings and not finding a simple replacement.I was apprehensive of this and other similarly priced setups based on the reviews both on Amazon and Youtube.However, I set my expectations that this was not going to be the greatest setup but could do the job necessary.And after that, I am rather pleased with the initial quality and experience with the system.The 3gallon system was perfect for stovetop setup in my kitchen. I decided instead of stacking, I would lay out the 3 vessels across my stove and countertop. The only issue with this setup was that the condenser kettle was flush to the counter and could not trip to a collection vessel. I remedied this by placing on a small 2gallon bucket. The flex pipe was just long enough to work with this.That being said, there are 3 issues you should be aware of, each can be remedied with quick trip to home depot.1. The "thumper keg" provided is really no more than a slobber box. There is no provided tube from the kettle exhaust to the thumper solution. You can fix this with a 3/8" female copper fitting and about 3" of copper tubing . (I think it was more like 2.75" as I had to trim for a more proper fit.2. Thumper Keg seal didn't fit quite correctly. replaced this with large silicon o-ring3. All of the fittings need to be secured with teflon tape to avoid air leakage.I have 2 other concerns to further investigate in subsequent runs.1. Unsure of the thermometer accuracy in the kettle. Read 195F but the resultant solution tasted like pure H2O.2. Need a secondary thermometer in the thumper to measure steam/solution temp going into the condenser.I hope this helps future customers make a decision
