Bit smaller than expected, but I probably bought without getting out ruler and using a more realistic approach to understanding size. However, in saying that it works well, holds things tight, I have been cleaning and giving a small spray with WD40 just to keep it in good condition. My garage can get a bit damp. I used this initially to hold items that had rusted while I cleaned them, now I don't want to do that to the Swivel Vise. One caution, it would be good to have a locking system to lock the handle on, it (if not careful and always mindful) could fall on the top of your foot while standing near it to work. From that height I'm sure it would do some damage. Have got into habit of removing it while I work on items held in the vise.

unbelievably heavy, lol and accurate, very impressed with the grinding, the action is smoother that I thought, but I think i can make it better. great price and actually bigger than what I need, but for the difference In price, you might as well get the 6 inch.

This is a very well made vise. The screw motion is smooth and the accuracy of the jaws is very good great value for the price. The vise was well packaged and delivery was speedy.

I bought this vise to help set up a Mini milling machine project I'm working on. I picked this one basically due to its size and the price mainly because if I didn't like the quality I really wasn't out much. Turns out its very nice and well packaged and works well.

Works really well would recommend thistle to anyone well built ànd good accessories to hold it firmly on the mill bed

2nd unit purchased , 3" flat base mill vice, again excellent value, good quality and great service and delivery times. The first was a 5" with swivel base, just needed a smaller one for my small mill for quick jobs. Both are proving to be good choices.

Yeah , just exactly what I needed, it is perfect for my workshop. It’s for use on a shaper. It is perfect for the job, seems robust enough. Seems to be well made. Yep I love it, would buy another on.

Very good product, so pleased with it that I purchased the 3" version also for my small mill. Amazing they can deliver for little or no freight. Arrived in very good time and well packaged. Vevor is now my prime 'go to' site first.

The 5inch vice arrived promptly and surprisingly undamaged given it's weight. Unpacking it I noticed immediately that the finishing was not great but 20 minutes with files took off the sharp edges. Out of the box the jaws aligned well and the action was smooth bit I felt that there were some small modifications that would make it better. Firstly I didn't like how the lock collar just screwed onto the threads so I made a brass split collar to replace it. Also the bearing surface for the back of the lead screw had not been machined and caused a little binding. I used a dremel tool to flatten this and then added thrust bearings on both front and back surfaces to make it easier to use. Overall this product is, with a little TLC, value for money.
