My son is OCD and thinks our natural spring tap water tastes bad, so I bought this. Even filtered water tastes bad to him. He approves of the taste of water from this machine. It is a bit slow in my opinion but works as advertised. Fresh, clean, distilled water.

We bought this after our previous distiller (different brand) died horribly after a year of use. It was a serious upgrade, which we didn't expect at all, since the price was similar.The old one was finicky about the placement of the top. If we didn't get it just right, it would leak. The old one had a flat bottom that was hard to clean, as it would also boil itself utterly dry before stopping. This one leaves a bit of liquid, making cleanup much easier. It's even pretty.But there's an internal 110v 15A fuse. The original blew after two months. There wasn't enough wire, and I had to scrounge connectors, but the seller did ship an extra fuse. It too blew after about two months of use. Worse yet, the setup seems somewhat unsafe. There's a fire resistant sheath over the fuse (unless it slips). I will tell you that ours became quite toasted. I would prefer a fuse setup with a bit more margin for error. Also, the distiller is connected to a circuit with two 15A brakes, neither of which blew...so, basically, I think the fuses used in this are junk. Potentially dangerous junk, at that.Easily replaced, though. And otherwise the distiller is wonderful. We use it 2-3 times daily. Our kids are water snobs at this point.So, a little bit of work and the distiller is easily 5+ stars. But I'm only giving it 4, because of the junk fuses it came with. YMMV.

We live in the city and only drink this now. We do re-mineralize it. Delicious!After you buy it run a few gallons through it before tasting. And get a timer - don't let it run out of water (set the timer to 3 hours and it won't dry in the resovoir)

I can't get the minerals left behind all cleaned out. Need instructions on this like what can be used to get the deposits out. Also I had noticed the last couple of times I used it, it was leaking. Upon further use found it wasn't leaking but had water dripping from the spout so it really wasn't leaking. The jar top needs to be made differently or th spout. I loose about half of what I put in.

Had it for about a year. The water tastes metallic and gross, so I mostly used it for my aquarium and humidifier. I was happy with it before the inside rusted through and dumped boiling water all over my kitchen floor. Stainless steel my ass. I didn't see the rust due to the mineral scale that forms inside.Don't buy this. It's a cheap, crappy machine, cobbled together in China. You get what you pay for, and now I get to pay for new floors.I did like that it was red though.

The product seems sturdy and efficient. We fill the container with hot water; after the temperature is set, it will produce new water until the end. The fan does make quite a bit of noise, but if you leave it to a place farther away, it won't bother you. What important is the water produced tastes well. The deposit on the inside of the steel tank is visible after a few days of use, but it does not require constant cleaning.

This product works great .

We needed distilled water for our humidifier and the functions on this product was everything we wanted. this was a great value. Highly recommend this unit.
