Very simple to use.
I purchased because Distilled water was no where to be found in our area and ordering was sky high even on Amazon. Now no problem. Does what advertised. Easy assembly. I do no use handle because I just feel uneasy lifting jar with flimsy handle included. Not a problem.

Great product
I use it to get back my everclear alcohol. I'm sure it works for distilling water as well. I haven't tried. The only issue I have with it is it could have a soft rubber feet because it slides all over the counter. I usually put it on a wet rag so it doesn't slide around.

Exactly what I needed to get "Zero" water
I have had this for almost 1 month and LOVE it. Before this, my water had a 385 ppm reading from the tap using 2 filters on the system. I tried Zero water when Britta did nothing. I found myself having to change the Zero water filters every 2 weeks and it was too expensive. Finally, I get the quality of water I was looking for by using this distiller. Since getting this, I distill 1-3 gallons of water each day. After minor problems, I finally have a setup that works well for me. I set the temp at 102 degrees Celsius and run on a timer for 3 1/2 hours. This leaves a little water in the distiller and avoids the dried residue and cleanup. I just dump the brown water out, rinse, and refill. Make sure you do not get the top plug wet when refilling or you will trigger your GFI. After I unplug the top, I loop the plug under the handle when removing and set it aside to fill the basin. When in use, I raise the glass pitcher on a folded dishtowel so it is closer to the spout, and I don't use the metal piece that directs the drip flow. I do this because I had a few spills when the water flow/drip was off a little. I keep it in my guest bathroom because it does heat up the room and the noise is about as loud as a room air filter on medium speed (It measured 60 decibels on a decibel meter). It does come with a charcoal filter installed in the metal spout section on the top. The charcoal will cause a water meter to register about 12 ppm for the first few gallons, but this is common with charcoal filters. I did not experience any "machine" taste or smell other reviewers mentioned but I did rinse well with vinegar before use and distilled a few "throw away" gallons before use for consumption. Sorry for the length of this review but I wanted to answer all the questions I had when buying a distiller. I am very happy with this purchase and would not hesitate to buy again.

Good for the money
I bought mine a month ago. My tap water is about 800 ppm. After using it about 20 gallons my output is between 1 and 14 ppm. I bought it for my cpap water. I had a problem with green water in my cpap using the distilled from the machine. Went back to commercial distilled for it. Then have no problem. I use the machine water for everything else. So good value still for the money. Just clean it often.

Worked very well
I have only used it 3 times and it worked perfectly. Took 500 PPM tap water to 21 Parts per Million distilled. This unit came set at 108 C so no need to adjust the temp. On and off switch in the front. Actually very pleased with the quality of construction and performance. I did see my electric consumption up 700 to 800 watts per hour just as manufacture estimated. For $70 price it was a good purchase.

Distilled Water is scarce so why not make your own
So I use a great deal of distilled water, for my cpap and diffusers. The cost starting adding up and availability was low. So I read the reviews and settle on this one. As of right now I'm quite please with this unit. It was well packed and not too hard to assemble, considering the instructions were vague. It's a decent size so make sure you have the space. It's fairly quiet so much I can work and be on a call and it's not a distraction. So if your on the fence, jump off and drop it in your cart and click "place my order". See easy peasy and you won't be disappointed.

Tip and Tricks
Works great. Things you should know…. First it is larger than I imagined. I was thinking in terms of the size of a Mr. coffee type coffee maker, but this is about 1/3 larger. It’s not easy to have out or put away. Secondly, it works on the premise of a heating element and a cooling fan. The fan makes noise. Not awful, but also not quiet. Next, I took advice from previous reviews to buy a distiller with a glass carafe. People complained that the plastic carafes passed along a detectable “plastic” taste. This glass carafe is of an old fashion type of basic glass. Not thin like Pyrexx or a coffee pot glass, and not tempered therefore breakable. By the time you get a gallon of water into this heavy, thick glass, it might be too weighty for some folks to lift and reasonably pour into another container. For that reason, you might want to consider plastic. Also, this glass carafe requires you to assemble the handle. You will need smaller pliers and a Phillips screwdriver. The assembly instructions are not clear, and counterintuitively you have to reverse bend the stainless bands back around the carafe to assemble the handle. Yikes! That took me a day to figure out. The carafe doesn’t nest right next to the unit. You have to linen it up carefully with the drip spout to make it all function. As far as cleaning, it does come with a container of cleaning agent I believe to be granular citric acid for the interior of the main stainless unit. I have read reviews were folks are very dedicated to clean the unit every single time. I didn’t want to be dependent on continually buying cleaning agent. I tried using some lemon juice and it did the trick. I will continue to use lemon or vinegar to clean every second or third use not letting the white mineral buildup get too concentrated. Lastly, it does shut off automatically. That wasn’t clear to me either in the listing or in the instructions. All that being said, the unit works very well. I bought a budget friendly model and it does e

Great value
Nice product. Love the variable heat. I use this to distill fully extracted cannabis oil from ethanol. I love I can set it at the boiling temp and later lower it when I off the final bit.
