Had oily manufacturing residues all over outside and inside. First use after washing still had machine oil smell.

I'm super happy with this still.It's easy to assemble and use.At first the thumper keg didn't seal but that was my fault.I put some c clamps on the lid to help seal it. Then I realized the way I had the hoses was the problem they were putting tension on the lid.I reset it so the hoses so were not putting tension on the lid.If you take the time to assemble correctly it works great.

Received this as a gift. By the 3rd run I had to replace the silicone gaskets in the flex tubing. $60 worth of parts, flex pipes replaced with copper tubing. Runs great now. Flex pipes should have NPT or FLR fittings.

I have made several runs and this kit works well for beginners. I haven't used the slobber pot yet because I don't believe it is needed as long as you can control the heat.
