Mr
"Still" is reasonably priced. Stainless is good quality. The hose connections are not great & do leak & some loss of yield, will make some modifications to stop this. Overall pretty good setup whatever your distilling. 1st Run 25 Litres took 90 minutes to reach temperature, after removing Foreshots of 200ml, Alcohol for next 3 litres at 75%. Then slowly reduces, stopped at 12% after further 7 hours. Total 8.5 hours. Yield 5 litres @ 52%. Carbon Filtered, when finished have 6.5 litres @ 40%.

Distilling Water for CPAP use
Everybody is correct, the manual is not clear about how to assemble it.I got this to do Distilled Water because the market is limiting me to 2 gallons at a time and I'm too old to play that game anymore!!!I just did my trial run. Well worth the investment. Cost investment payback for my use only is about 2.5 years (4 gallons a month, CPAP + medical use). Making water for my child (CPAP also) makes the payback time shorter. Time investment, I got the same amount in less than an hour that it was taking 2 days to get with a spaghetti pot and bowl.

Shake rattle and roll
Easy to assemble . Im first time distiller. What I dont like … is the 5 gallon pot shakes rattle when heating up. The handles bang on the side. Very noisey. And when this is happening it moves the top lid which moves the tubing and they get loose. The cooling pot gets hot and we continue to add ice even tho the return water is cold. I think the return valves need to be bigger so to get better circulation. But with that said… I do like the kit . Have done a couple runs and still figuring it out. I have already recommend this kit.

I got the still
I just got the still but I have to wait about a week before I can use it. If it works as good as it looks like it would I will be so satisfied. It arrived very quickly.

Decent still at a great price!
I got mine for about $70 with a coupon from prepperdeals, so I can't give this a bad review even if I wanted to. But I don't. This is a decent kit, honestly.A couple of things about my setup though... I don't use the pot for fermenting. So I don't have any solids in it when I distill. That almost guarantees I won't burn the mash. It also makes cleanup easier. I use food grade buckets for fermenting. Also, when you're setting up the condenser pump, make sure that end end of the drain hose that comes out of the top of the condenser back to your bucket of water is submerged. It's important to bleed the air out of that hose so it flows well. If you leave that hose draining into the air, it won't work well and you'll probably overflow your condenser.Last point that someone else already mentioned. The thumper isn't a real thumper with the included parts. I end up stealing a little silicone cone and the copper extension tube for the condenser and combining them to make the tube that goes down into the thumper. See the attached picture. Haven't tested that yet, though.Anyway, this is a good kit. It doesn't compare to my little 2.5 gallon all-copper pot still. But this gets the job done more quickly.
